So very cool!! Thank you so very much for sharing which products work best with infusible ink! I love the sequin pillow and the mugs and koozies!! I have great ideas for the laser paper also!!! Oh I'm just so excited to try this on something other than shirts!! Thanks again Rachel!! As always you ROCK!! 💐❣💐❣
I know this is an older video but.... I did the coasters and was wondering if you know if their are car coasters that will work with infusible ink? Thank you for your help ❤
I have to say you are very informative and relatable. I'm about 2 weeks in with my cricut and 5-1 heat press. I have yet to do mugs but i am looking forward to it. The puzzles are genius... holiday season coming. Thank you so much.
Funny you should ask that!! Miss Becca JUST finished a member-only video that she is going to showcase this Friday on doing JUST THAT!!! If you're a member, go check it out!
No, Infusible ink only works on material that is at least 65% polyester. Plus the ink would lay weird on the fur and not look good when shifted around. Hope this helps!
Hello!! So, when you use Infusible ink on mugs, since the heat plate doesn't set flush with the entire design, you won't have even heating on the design so you won't have even color on your mug, so we don't recommend using this method for mugs :) Hope that makes sense!!
Yes. It is NOT the same as vinyl. The process is basically transferring ink from one place to another. So, there is a chemical reaction that has to take place. The product you are putting the ink on must be made up of polyester. This is basically just sublimation simplified for those that don't want to learn to do it, or can't foot the bill for a put together system (printer and inks), or don't want to do it enough to look into converting a Canon printer.
Hi Rachel!! Good video, loved it!! Would you please be so kind as to put (your affiliate!!) Amazon links to these products in the description?? As always, much appreciated, thanks much🙏❤️!!!
Hey guys, this off topic for this particular video but...does anyone know how to draw with the cricut air explore 2? I have looked everywhere I can't figure it out.... HELP!! Lol
Would this work on Fine China? I’d love to make one of those “insult tea cups”. “Not today Satan” or “This could be poison”. Inside the cup. Or would you recommend water slide. Thank you!!
Waterslide would be better. You can't use infusible ink on any ole cup, it has to be a special cup that's coated with a product that will take in the ink. Hope this helps!
I surmise the sellers raised prices when demand when up from the inbound clicks starting Aug '19. I searched Amazon for "sublimation hat blanks", and couldn't find the right fabric blend anymore at a good price. This term brought up what they do have: "blank hat 35 % Cotton, 65 % Polyester"
Nice video, but it would have been more helpful to show us the results of using these blanks, not just tell us they worked okay or not bad (puzzles). Show us! Thanks for all you do!
I think she's saying that there are other tutorials and videos posted by this site that does just that shows and tells and demonstrates results. So just go to the site and scroll down through their posts for what you may be looking for via titles they have posted.
@@sugarroseteacups1959 I'm hearing people in my group online have used Air FRYERS and toaster ovens with great success instead of mug presses. They still cover it with butcher paper.
Polyester is just a huge NO. There are not enough words to describe how much I hate this fiber. It is basically wearing plastic. It's hot, it collects hair and lint, and it will be around in land fills until the end of time. I see the infusible line already being discounted out in Michaels so Im going to call this a huge fail.
No need for rude comments. These are FREE videos :) Feel free to watch one of our other hundreds of great crafty videos rather than comment so rudely. I see you commenting again, with a nice comment thanking us for this video... that one is much more appropriate.
I've used infusible in on sublimation mugs without a press. I use a silicone wrap and bake it in the oven. Works great!!
That's a great idea! We'll have to try that!
Dang I just bought a press TODAY and then read this!
Tamara Carman You can use the easy press on many items. It wasn’t a wasted purchase.
Do you use a regular oven or the convection? I’ve been seeing tutorials but they always use the convection (which I do not have)
Hi there.. is it a certain wrap.?. Or any silicone wrap.. What temp for oven.?.
Thank you for the information...I just don't understand why, if you have already tested these items that you do not show us the results?..Would love to see the completed projects...Take care
I’m visual. I’d like to see the application part and the outcome of each product.
I am too! Sorry we could not fit all of that into the video, keep your eye out for more infusible ink videos :)
You don't need a heat press to do sublimation/Infusible Ink on a mug. Put it in a preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes with the design on it.
So can you just draw on the mug with the markers then put in the oven?
Correct!!
I *think* you have to draw your image onto paper, and use heat tape to tape the paper onto the mug, and do it that way :)
Very informative, thank you Rachel.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!!!
Can infusable ink be transfered ti clay, not air dry or polymer clay.?

Just saw this video. Love the options. Does anyone know where to find a heat/time guide for a 5 in 1 heat press? I have one but no guide.
Rachel is my fave! 💚

Do mugs in the oven. Preheat to 350 and pop them in with the design on them for 30 minutes.
Wonder if u can use Infusiable ink on sublimation license plate?

Do you think I will be able to use infusible ink on a white faux fur rug??
No, Infusible ink only works on material that is at least 65% polyester. Plus the ink would lay weird on the fur and not look good when shifted around. Hope this helps!
Would the easy press mini work on the mug with heat resistant tape holding it in place? Just curious.

Can you use recycled Polyester for infusible Inc.
Cant wait for the puzzle and pillow lives. These are fun.
Thank you Elizabeth!

???????????? Can you use the infusible ink on Creative Memories Coversets? If yes do you recommend using a heat press or iron?
I have used multi use printer paper, it's says it can be used in laser printers.
Can sublimation paper be used instead of laser paper?
I'm not 100% sure about that...
Is there any heat transfer paper to use on mugs for an inkjet printer?
We do not recommend HTV on mugs :) But here is a printable vinyl we like to use which can be used on mugs: Cricut Printable Vinyl: amzn.to/3bC84R7
Not seeing any links to the products.
Can you use infusible ink on earring card holders
not unless it's poly coated :)
Great tips. Thanks Rachel
You are SO welcome!
I don't see a link to all these products from Amazon.
They're in the description :)
@@MakersGonnaLearn That's where I looked.

I was told Laser Copy Paper and got it at Wal-Mart for $3 a pack.

I want to use this on socks. But those thick warm socks.. would that work????
check Amazon for sublimation socks. I've seen them somewhere. also chec a company called Conda.
just saw laser paper at sam's for $10, 550 sheets
I just went to the link for the hats. And they are $12 For one hat. So where did you find four hats in a pack for $3.99 each?
Amazon changes their prices so often. Since this video we have learned not to say prices on videos because they are so quick to change.

I wish those pillow cases still came in the 2 pack. Looks like they are only 1 now... :(
Would the sublimation mug be dishwasher safe.
Yes, only thing is you need a mug heat press. I did a small design on a square mug with easy press, it did work, but needed full contact.
