  • The pros about ten finger grip is there is no more fingers "fighting" and much better control. The cons? A softer touch of the right hand is needed...

You are a machine. Beautiful controlled yet powerful swing. Love it.

do you stil fade the ball...looks like you come over the top slightly. I use 10 fingeer with power ful draw for irons. you need a more shallow awing so move your ball pos back closer to mid stance and swing that right arm afgeessively out to the right to 2pm

No, my ball flight is straight or slightly draw. In my own case, I'll try my very best to avoid the move you mentioned, otherwise I'll hook like crazy...

Beautiful tempo, you look like you really stay behind the ball especially with the driver

I've tried using a 10-finger grip, and find that I get more consistent contact but lose distance. Care to comment?

I found that if I focus more on softer right hand touch, I don't see any distance lost. In fact, I gain a few more yards with driver because of the solid and consistent contact. It may lose some distance with short clubs tho. But, short clubs are all about control I believe...

Maybe your lower hand thumb and trigger finger are too active? The fulcrum of the swing should be unchanged. Mostly felt in the upper hand's last 3 fingers against the palm pad.
I find it just gives me more touch and my hands fit better on the club than overlap/interlocked. There are always weird pressure points and unwieldiness for me with those.

noticed that you now use a slightly closed stance where before you seemed to suggest, recommend, an open stance. Pretty sure they both have pro's and cons and watching the pro's leads me to believe neither are the best stance. Please give your experience

It depends on your body's flexibility. A close stand is good for a less flexible body. To me, I tend to use an open stand for short clubs, close stand for long clubs. In my experience, there is no absolute best stand. Feeling nature and being comfortable at the time you play is the key. An open stand is good for you today, doesn't mean it will be good for you tomorrow. Hit a few balls on the range and find the most comfortable way for that day. 😊

Good food for thought. I too have been using both , like you, open for irons and hybrids, slightly closed driver. Funny though as if I'm teeing off on a short par 3 say 120 yards or less I'll tee up the ball use a pitching wedge closed stance to draw the ball to the flagstick making sure the club-face is square and 9 times out of 10 It'll land the ball in birdie range
      Thanks for the fast reply
