I was at this game but missed the winning touchdown pass to Morales because I still had my head in my hands from the interception he threw the series before. Quite possibly the single greatest victory in Ross ade history.
Someone was wearing a Drew Brees throwback Purdue jersey when I went to Carl's Jr. in Salina, Utah a few years ago. It was a warm day and she was having a picnic lunch with her kids.
I'm really enjoying these old game highlights with cool subjects like this one with Drew Brees. Been watching your channel for a while.. keep on trucking dude!
I was at this game. 10 rows up and to the right of the goal posts behind Drew when he threw that TD to Morales. One of the prettiest deep balls I have ever seen.
These were two forgettable years for Ohio State. 6-6 in 99, and 7-5 that year. I was 12 and remember this game like it was yesterday. Brees just couldn't be stopped on 3rd down. Tiller always had Purdue competitive.
Devastating fact for EbbTide fans is neither ClumsyOn nor EbbTide can ever beat Ohio State now without lots of help from refs, injuries, flu, intentional targeting injuries, plandemics, etc...
11:49 what a rope of a throw. Brees one of the clutchest QBs in history. It's crazy to think that him not becoming a Dolphin changed the course of college football.
Joe Tiller was the reason Drew went to Purdue. Only 2 schools were interested in him; Kentucky and Wyoming but when Tiller left Wyoming for Purdue, Drew went that route.
This was a huge game for his development as a QB, on many levels. Damn he just picked up 3rd Down after 3rd Down after 3rd Down in the 2nd half, Boom, Boom, 💥 Brees was right when he said pregame he had a good plan of attack.
I had no idea Matt Mitrione (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Mitrione) played college football at Purdue. Glad I decided to check if it was him after hearing the announcers at 0:00:50.
I almost didn't catch it cause they didn't say his name right. On ultimate fighter Heavyweights him Marcus Jones and one other guy from that season played football. I think Marcus made TB squad or Practice squad.
I remember the first time seeing Drew Brees as playing at Purdue. I was fooled by his looks and didn't think he'd be that good. Well, boy was I wrong. He wasn't good, but one of the greatest.
I went to that Rose bowl. During the game I noticed that Vinny Sutherland had a tell where he would pull on his face mask right before the snap whenever he was supposed to get the ball. Like he was adjusting it or something so I told my brother and he didn't believe me and so we start watching him and on one of the next plays he does it and then gets a long completion or touchdown. We watched him the rest of the game and he legit did it on every single play where he was first in the progression.
One heckava football game. Drew Breeze...what can you say... The end of Lynyrd Skynyrds recording of J.J. Cales song "Call Me The Breeze": Wooo ooooo ooo ooo oo o Mr. Breeze...
Drew Brees revolutionized Purdue Football. They were never good until he came to town. I’m still sick he didn’t choose Kentucky because that’s my team. He was meant to go to Purdue.
Couple thoughts, criminal Jacob Blake on his helmet and bending the knee to apologise for standing up for the Flag. Sometimes a couple of oh F**ks wipe away alot of atta boys.
fabulous football game. back when they played actual football. None of this 45-39 B.S. Good defense is good football. If you're not entertained by a classic 20-17 B1G football game than go watch the NBA. This is a high scoring game back in the day. Love it.

Watching the football come out of Brees' hands is one of the few simple pleasures of life. Going to miss seeing it every Sunday.
I still haven't found anyone else to fill the void yet 😢
This Drew Brees guy looks like he will be a very good player in the NFL. He’s got great potential.
Doubt it, if he ever makes it to the league he’d play TE. Doesn’t have the arm strength to be a QB at the next level.
@@RSHighlights Backup QB at most!
Third string*
He's too short.
He might go to one Superbowl
This is becoming one of my favorite channels
Thanks

On god I watch every video I see pop up
Appreciate it
Since Purdue had black, gold, and white colors it’s only fitting Drew Brees ends his career with the Saints.
Yeah cuz that matters lol

Brees thank you for all the hard times you gave me as a panther fan since 2017 but congrats on being one of the nfl greats
Much love as a Panther fan
Damn. Even in college drew loved to throw picks and come from behind to win .
he has to beat himself. he throws picks to put the other team ahead and then he throws touchdowns
Otherwise it wouldn’t be interesting for him :P

Loved watching Drew Brees play.
Yes!! Requested many times!! Thank you!

That Lineman blocked THREE people on that fumble. What a HERO

That hit by Brees on his 4th INT to save the TD....😤

Coach Joe Tiller was a very good coach. Sean Payton got the best out of Brees when he went to Tillers offensive schemes for his Saints offense.

2000
The real GOAT. INTS or not. And as far as I know, never had to deflate a ball to win.
I believe Eric Crouch won the Heisman that year correct? Should've been Brees. Buckeye fan
Edit: It was Chris Weinke
Even though I wasn't born yet, I would have liked Josh Huepel to win it just because he is from my hometown.
Matt mitrione the Purdue player is that the mma fighter?
Have a great day God love y’all ,
I’ll watch Ohio State losing ever single time. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving school.

Purdue was a dominant program many years ago before drew. Saying they were never good is totally false
CrAzy how many 3rd and longs they made. Just proves some games a team is ment to win.
Brees has his first highlight in the second quarter?! Next throw is a pick?! You can tell he’ll never make it in the pros
