I think it's funny that the last line during the walk is Ardbert saying "Let's finish this." Because it's meant to encourage you here, but the voice line originally comes from the patch 3.4 battle against the Warriors of Darkness. So the "this" Ardbert intended to finish was the business of murdering you.
There is a line in that walk there that has a pretty sad event attached to it...one said by Lord Edmond de Fortemps...as that was the last line said by his voice actor, Stephen Critchlow, before he passed away. I know that once I continue my journey with my alt character for streams...I'm going to take a moment to remember this actor as he did a wonderful job with bringing life to this kind man of Ishgard.
I love the fact that Emet's speech about what the WoL needs to see and do ends with the "As the bearer of Azem's crystal you may consider your duty to see at least that much. I certainly did." Given that in ShB you learn that Azem never *had* a crystal. Because he disagreed with the convocation they chose not to make an official one for his memories. Emet says he made one on behalf of him, and that's the one the WoL has. What Emet seems to be saying here is that he took that very crystal and did all that exploration in honor of the memory of his friend. I honestly was not the biggest fan of Emet until he said that. Then I went "Okay, still disagreeing with your opinions and motives, but I gotta hand you the W for being a bro."
"What form said path takes depends upon you. So focus - focus and envision that which rejects the claim that you cannot attain your goal!" Val: poof... Staypuft Marshmallow man appears. "I couldn't help it, it just popped in there"
One of the best choices they made in the entire expansion was having the last "voice from your past" you hear on that slow walk be Ardbert saying "Let's finish this." Perfection.
Everytime Garret said “We’re totally gonna hang out with Emet again” the community here just knew what was coming, and it was the funniest thing since the very first endwalker stream when he heard Emet’s voice again, the fact it happened more than once during the expansion just made it the best kind of double dipping.
though I gave you these wings to soar the heavens : parent telling child you can do what ever you want in life I did not teach you to walk the earth : I did not teach you how to life a good life /just life . This is my fav line in the game because it has a lot to do with family and the things need to be done so others do not fall to the despair of this world this is masterful story telling it can not get no better for me
I feel it's a near injustice to not include Hermes' conclusion to this phrase, "...so loathe was I to bind another living being": parents not wanting to constrain their children to one path for fear consigning the to the same vagarities of fate. Hermes is a truly well written character on that level.
"So loathe was I to bind another" A parent telling their child that their life's happiness doesn't have to fit what the parents life or views are- don't be bound by MY life just live your own

The treasured feeling of time well spent and well rewarded. It only comes rarely in our world of dizzying creation and consumption. Thankful to have walked with you both to this point and for whatever comes ahead🎉
The Hermes callback lines with Dynamis playing in the background is one of my favorite moments in this game. I'd held it together for all of Ultima Thule pretty well until that point.
