- You wouldn't believe that only ONE layer cake was used to make this super easy beginner friendly quilt! In this tutorial, Teancum puts together a quilt that you can whip-up rather fast, and we added a little splash of color to make it stand out! We hope you enjoy our free pattern!

This is a really good video! I have enjoyed some other videos as well. I really like Sew Yeah. I love how the Family is so supportive of each other as well as the community. It is an inspiration. This is not meant to be critical, so please don't take it that way. I have watched some videos where I ask why are you doing it that way when it would be easier to piece it another way. Sometimes it seems like not enough instruction. I can see how busy all of you are and I think WOW. The whole family really works hard all the time. I just have a habit of questioning things and looking for solutions.

Thank you Teancum. I have a black and white layer cake-somewhere. My sewing room is in a finished basement. Water line broke and flooded the place. Brought my equipment upstairs. Plumbing fixed and water mitigator in to clean, sanitize, and document loss. Will not have an area til all is put back together. Love this pattern though and will give it a try next year😊

I'm trying this pattern, but there is a disconnect from instruction on page 1 to page 2. My blocks lean right as shown on p. 1, but the drawing has the seams leaning left. No prob. I'll just be consistent, but am i going nutty???
This method can be a little confusing! Place your blocks as shown on Page 1, and they will open up into perfect rectangles after you sew them on both sides & cut! This is definitely not a normal technique, but have faith and it will end up perfectly!
I'm happy with the pattern. I am getting perfect rectangles. It's just that my seams are slanted right, as shown on p. 1, but your seams slant left on p. 2.
Maybe I’m the only one, but when I did the test blocks they were off at the top and bottom. What is the trick?l
Before you sew the two pieces on to each other, give the top piece a little rotate. Check out this part here: 3:00 😊
