Well, nowadays, I think the common wisdom in most militaries is that full-auto is meant more for suppressive fire, not hitting targets. But in this case, the gang was also stupid for opening fire while the car was moving.
@@BunyipDude - That's why the military went to three round burst for infantry rifles. Soldiers panic and end up not hitting anything when they're just acting on spray and pray, but when they forced to react and let go of the trigger and re-aim the weapon, they're much more effective.
@@mdemers767 Heck, I was in peacetime Marine Corps in the 80s, and that was true for us, and this was during training when there was no war. With the A1 M16 that had full auto we just emptied the magazine, but were much more coordinated when the A2 came out with the 3 round burst.
@@mdemers767 Yeah, although the 3-round burst feature turned out to be a waste as well (in practice: infantry personnel were discouraged from ever using it, and it caused severe trigger creep affecting accuracy). The common wisdom now is that semi-auto is really the only mode of fire that matters for most situations involving rifles.
One of the most badass movies ever made
I think you may have missed the point of the movie, then.
"She is doing fine just without you".....whoaaa.....
No Name enter big 47
Hits like a knife
Every man should watch this movie before even contemplating the idea of marriage.
😀👍
Don't think it can't happen to you.

Raise your hands if you miss the 90s, 80s and 70s.
a typical summer day in Chicago
Except in Chicago they actually manage to hit their intended targets.
That's Los Angeles.
RedLP5000S FREAKIN. WHOOSH.
Holy Toledo, my dude.
This drive-by is really realistic. They hit everything but their target.
1993, great movies that year
how the hell did they miss him...that's just horrible they can't shoot worth a dam
LOL
its like nobody cares about the quality of their work anymore. 100% agreed.
Realistically gang bangers are brought up poor and short term patience. They don't wanna take the time and effort for college degrees so I assume that goes for taking shooting lessons as well
jarvis j Try Chicago Only ones who can shoot are ogs...but they dont put it down like they used now youngins doing this exactly what you saw in this vid...randoms
From my understanding it's the fact they tried shooting at him from a moving car, their aim would be difficult to adjust if they were constantly moving.
The real horror in this scene is the wife.
😀👍
Yeah it was so hard to watch those tapes and his realization of whats wrong with himself mentally. Man that was disturbing.
@Jeremiah Pickens it never mention in the movie. When ask if he was violent she dont give an answer. This women was awful and refuse to give him rigth to see his child for her birthday even when the kid was happy to see him.
@@irondragon911 didn’t he try to kill his family at the end? The kid too?
Why?
I love that he’s got a pocket protector.
He didn’t even flinch when they were shooting at him
They left out the best part when he says "you missed".
i love how he just doesn't care
I just retired in 2018 after 32 years as an Engineer with a large American defense contractor and it is one of the most stressful jobs on the planet; as I used to tell people, they expect near super human dedication and results but in return they pay you a small boatload of money. When I was in my 20's and 30's and into my 40's I used to work an all nighter once a week (i.e. 7am to 7am, then an 8 hour shift, so ~32 hrs) then come back the next day and work a typical 10 or 12 hour day just to make sure I was working harder then anyone else and would get outstanding performance evaluations. By the time I reached age 59 I was pretty used up both physically and mentally but I had a seven figure portfolio and a pension coming so I stepped away early...I almost cracked a few times but managed to keep my marriage intact and things worked out well (a recently retired Ph.D. Aerospace Engineer who worked for a large American defense contractor's Missile Systems and Aero company.
do you feel fulfilled in life in some way.
@@Replica_Films2000 I am all good.
This movie shows what a great actor Michael Douglas is
Fear the man with nothing left to lose
They had to ruin a perfectly good '67 Chevy because they can't shoot?! WTF!
Exactly...
Dude can't drive.
I mean this was a time where these cars were chaep.
I swear that is the most iconic car i can name this second. Chevrolet Impala 60s. look at its appearances

WOAH i just realised a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham was nearly caught in the accident
D-Fens had that same Joker energy, a vortex of chaos that seemed to whirl around him and keep him safe.
With each passing year I understand him and his motivations better
They managed to hit everything but him. These guys make the stormtroopers look good.
Edit: Worse part is the storm troopers actually have an excuse if you consider their helmets
Stormtroopers do actually kill quite a few people. Just never someone that's a main character. Movie logic.
I think stormtroopers missed on purpose because they are spot on at everything and everyone else. They're not clones who have built in loyalty.
Pretty common with drive-by shootings. Trying to hit a target in a moving vehicle is extremely difficult which is why you always hear about innocent bystanders getting shot during them in real life.
I should really watch the whole movie before I spoil it for myself but I LOVE these clips
Didnt even flinch hes got serious sisu. Walked away like a boss.
1:01 He is One with The Force and The Force is with him ....
It's like a reverse matrix dodge.
This movie is full of the best subliminal messages.
Like how?
@@melvinmerkelhopper5752 : We can't tell you...There subliminal.🤔
Stormtrooper shooting accuracy lol
Imagine hitting everyone except him he definitely has a invisible forcefield.
godmode player just chilling in the gta online lobby while getting shot by noobs in their vapid chino custom
He is like Kersey in "death wish" movies, but turning his narrative completely: violence brings more violence in response, but no justice at all. The vigilante hero myth is a sociopathic nightmare in reality.
“You missed!…”. That was the funniest part of this scene.
It never fails to see a Tech nine in a early-mid 90s movie
The older I get the more I agree with him 🤣
the first time i saw this movie i was tripping on mushrooms and i was peaking during this scene. the tension building up between him and his wife and then the gangsters had me on the absolute edge of my seat
He reminds me so much of the character he played on The Streets of San Francisco back in the day.
His ex wife always makes me slap happy in her scene. Great acting
Hell yes Michael Douglas. Nail'd it
That was some real "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" mess there.
Michael Douglas tells no lies in this one he saw 2021 back in 93.
I have days like this great film
Why is this man so savage😂. Hes being shot at in a drive by shooting and just slowly grabs his brief case and turns around 😂😂. TRUE THUG RIGHT THERE
poor car
For real
Yeah, it's a great car
Last year I saw this Impala in red. Very shiny. Total badass looking car.
Rick, Daryl & all the walking dead survivors every single time they’d see Negan :
This is where he got EXP to level up to LV 4 then upgraded his weapon to LV 3.
My mom took me to the movies to see this when I was 9 because she really likes Michael Douglas. Figured it wouldn't be that bad since I was already into Aliens and Freddy Kruger... That afternoon I learned what going postal meant.
Pissed him off…
Putting holes in everyone BUT who they're aiming at. Very true to life.
Falling down should also been inspiration for joker 2019
This movies message is more important today than ever. How one man's life changes over the course of a bad day and what led to that
Maybe put in the whole scene next time
