Brandon from New Nine Golf takes an introductory golf lesson with PGA Teaching Professional Tyler Foster. They start with the basics and progress to help you feel more comfortable on the golf course.

This is good, I want to get my gf into golf and she's really struggling with the basics I take for granted so this might really help!
Your videos are great, I also love that most of them are longer than the average UA-camr the 10-15 minutes. I had to say I laughed when the coach here said he had been working with someone for 15 years and still hasn't fixed their problem hahaha! That was funny. Just what I want my golf coach to say! ;) Anyways, keep up the good work!
I would strongly suggest you talk about grip pressure in the left and right hand.

Loving this video so far guys! I'm a single digit trying to teach my son and have no idea how to do it. Took him to the range and watched him hit my driver fat, and the head go bounding off with a slight draw. Wish I found this video sooner. "GASP" it is!

I have watched a lot of clips with professionals showing what is wrong and how to fix it, Most rattle on for a good deal of time and I lean very little. I tried these guys simple instructions today, man it was like they had been watching me , it all worked , on the way to sorting a lot of my problems thanks

I'm a leftie but naturally right-handed. Played most sports to a good level but finding golf tough although only been playing 4 weeks. One good shot and then the next couple I end up topping the ball. Not helped because all I have is an 8 iron, a 4 iron and a putter - nobody has any left-handed single clubs and all training videos are for right-handed players!! I had a lesson last week and the PGA Pro spent half of it trying to convince me to play right-handed! This video has already helped, very nicely explained in simple terms and I'm off to cut the grass and lose a few more balls tomorrow!!

Gripping the club in the fingers is essential to generating club head speed. But when you're thinking hit instead of swing, it maybe more instinctive to grab it tightly in the palms.

I’ve found the most success from Ben hogans feet set up guide. So I’m less parallel to where I’m aiming and more at a 35/45 degree angle. I’m also a beginner. Less than a year playing. Is this a permanent issue causer or can I do this and still continue to improve
It obviously worked for Ben Hogan. There are alot of opinions out there stating that Ben Hogan fought a hook because of this. If you've had success with this, I don't think it's a problem. I would however try really understand what your stance is doing. I would try and do the complete opposite and see how the ball reacts. ie 35/45 degrees the other way. Then experiment with in between positions. This way you can self diagnose. Hope this makes sense.
Good video indeed but I wish they would explain the jargons “alignment sticks”, “3 iron” and others properly before use of the terms. I am watching this because I’m completely new to golf.

8;03 Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for me to get my left arm that straight. Physically impossible, I do not have that flexibility. It sucks!

Nothing on what to do with arms to swing?? Bend them, keep straight as swinging….?
Try putting a golf glove under your right armpit (if you’re right handed) and try to swing keeping it in there.
Why this video isn't helpful. Your student/host already knows how to do these things and do them well. I need to see someone who doesn't know how to do these things. I need to see him or her make the same mistakes I make, so I can learn how to fix them as you teach your student how to fix them. For example, the grip is a problem for me. I've had eight golf instructors over the past 40 years. They all explained the grip just as you have, and yet, they each put me in a different grip. Eight instructors. Eight grips. Something is lost in translation because they all think I'm using the grip they described, but in at least seven of those cases (probably all eight) I'm not, even though I'm trying to. So today, I have no idea what is the proper grip, since none of them worked. It's now so bad that as follow along to your video and try to put my hands on the club the way you describe, I can't do it. I cannot, physically, hold the club that way. I need a video of a student struggling with the grip and how you and he overcame it.

@@NewNineGolf Trying to find basic beginner golf videos for brand new golfers. Most of the beginning golfer videos are way way to complicated for beginners. These girls will be bored in real quickly. This is not a beginner video.
