The difference is they go into the corner slow enough to make the turn and are on a guys bumper pushing him and the other guy can’t handle the speed through the corner like they can. Austin went into the corner too fast to make the corner unless he wrecks the car in front of him and uses that car to slow him down. Dale Sr mastered this bump and run tactic. He didn’t necessarily wreck the car in front of him he just pushed faster than the driver could go through the corner but not faster than he could. Generally this is due to a better car setup or newer tires. With Dale it was just a driver with more talent with speed through a corner. Very different than just hitting a guy while going straightaway speed while he’s slowing to make a corner.

Product of overtime and playoff format racing. He may get fined but his win will remain. The only thing consistent about nascar ruling is inconsistency. Had it ended under a yellow like back in the day with 2 laps left it would be his win. Maybe it should go back to the Winston points format but with bonus points for laps led and wins. And additional bonus points for doing so in the last 10 races. Just no cutoff style elimination like now

Haven't 3:06 watched much NASCAR as of late but I'll tell you now I just become an Austin Dillon fan! Dale Earnhardt flashback he was the intimidator. Its a different generation of rules and drivers that's why it's not watched much.

Haven't 3:06 watched much NASCAR as of late but I'll tell you now I just become an Austin Dillon fan! Dale Earnhardt flashback he was the intimidator. Its a different generation of rules and drivers that's why it's not watched much.
I’ll try to not be biased because I am a Logano fan but What Dillion did was dirty and dumb. I understand if you give Logano the bump and run or move him up the track but to gas it when you knew you weren’t there it’s just flat out cheap then right hook the 11 because he was about to steal the win is embarrassing. I’m sure Dillion’s going to be a first round exit so it doesn’t really matter

Earnhardt would say, that is just racen hard and what else can you do if they block you and it happens. I don't watch it anymore but I had to see what everyone is talking about, we seen that for 20 years with Earnhardt and to me he would have said the same thing and NASCAR would never take him out of a chance to be in what y'all call playoffs. Earnhardt would have never said I had to do it and he would have said I didn't mean to and I never even seen the other car it happened so fast but you never say you had to do anything like that no matter what
Denny and Joey have done it many times but I can’t stand Austin Dillon, since his very first day in Nascar.
Just because you don't "like" him means nothing. Denny Hamlin is one of the most hated in NASCAR along with his entire organization including Tyler Reddick, for a reason.

As an Australian, no idea about the rules of Nascar, but to me running someone purposely off the road is bad sportsmanship. If this is part of the rules of Nascar that this is a legitimate thing to do, then he won fair and square. If you are not supposed do that in Nascar, then the other guy should win... Please enlighten me on the rules.
As an Australian Motorsports fan I'm dumbfounded, you can tag a car in front of you like that and not a penalty. He thanks the lord above, really, pathetic. If their was a god he'd have been penalised. Not impressed.
