Netflix is my favorite product on the market right now, and has been for quite some time. Not because of the films I have access to but more so because of how intuitive the platform is and how easy it is to find what I'm looking for. It's also very attractive.
Excellent, as usual, Brittni. Unlike others who do AJ&Smart videos, your hair was perfect. Oh, back to the video, yes. I had trouble at first with the demo concept, believe or not, because I assumed they were intended to address the overall challenge. But when you said "solutions," it made sense. My favorite product is a cheddar cheese sandwich on sour dough bread - toasted with tomatoes and jalapeno peppers. I could eat these forever + one day. Does that classify as a product? :) Good job and thank you and team for all these videos!
My favorite app now is WeChat , because I am traveling in China and my whole life is in it (It helps me solve all my needs: communicating with friends, booking travel tickets, making payments, shopping, etc. You name it).
i like instagrams's stories, and how they've made super easy to anyone to personalize their stories using different features, like fonts, stickers, effects, etc...
Netflix is my favorite product right now, I like the product's interface and how it draws you closer even if you don't want to look at it, it just keep drawing and drawing you.......
Hi! Thanks for the video! I got a question, in this video when we do lighting demo, everybody comes up 3 examples(is this mean 3 different product and each of product with 3 examples? or just 3 examples can from same or different product? ) Thanks in advance!!!
During the sprint - do you keep the results of the exercises visible for a longer time? E.g. Wall for HMW? Wall for Map? Wall for Lightning Demo? And if so, for how long? Are there any physical signs of Monday still around on Tuesday and Wednesday?
Give the team 15 minutes to find their demos, and then everyone gets 3 minutes to present. So depending on your team size, usually it ends up being around 30-35 minutes!
Thanks AJ&S - great video as always. I noticed lighnting demo is not listed in your DS 2.0 agenda, but is covered here. When would you slot this in? I'm thinking of doing expert interview with HMW, and then lightning demo + HMW, and have a super vote on HMWs from both. Thoughts?!! Thanks. Greg
We do the lightning demos in the second half of the monday, right before sketching! And we don't actually do any voting on the demos! They are purely for inspiration.
I think better idea than just browsing internet would be give them list of 100 most innovative companies or fast growing. I think people especially non creative will strugle to find new interesting projects or website who don't do research on daily basis.
Fair point Adrian, thanks for the insight, that's a cool idea but in principle the lightning demos are meant to help people project their own ideas and insights on interesting finds that they think will help. We don't want to steer people too much here. Also if we present them with a list of companies we might miss out on some GOLDEN insights from people, that might present from some completely unrelated industries.
I'm kinda lost at how much time should we give for people to present their demos after the 25min research session. 2 min per demo, maybe? Since is 3 demos per person, and maybe up to 10 people in a sprint, that could sum up to 60 min of presentations, minus some uncontrollable discussions? Is an hour safe to assume? Am I right at interpreting that each one presents their 3 demos?
I appreciate the Sprint breakdown :) Its actually supercharging a freelance contract I'm working on. To answer the end question, Sweatcoin is a pretty interesting app I've been playing around with lately.
coravin - you can pour wine from the bottle without removing the cork. I often only want one glass of wine & the coravin allows you to have one glass, while preserving the rest of the bottle
Is it really necessary to have someone taking notes or doodling when everyone can write their examples and big ideas on their post-its, read their own examples and then put it on the wall so everyone can see it?
Hey, really nice videos. My question is when presenting demos, do you present the found example itself also? Or do you present only the ideas itself you find in an example, without showing the example to team/experts? Because as I understood is that the goal of the exercise is to present ideas to inspire think some sort of solutions. Because when presenting a particular demo and idea, people might attach too much to n existing solution and without being aware of that will limit themselves to discover "how might we realise it in our project". P.S. Sorry for broken English. Thanks for videos because you really got me hooked with design sprint, I have a book and trying to learn it and soon will try to conduct one myself :) Keep up the good work!
Nice! thanks for the nice comments :) In the exercise, you do actually show the demos. That way you are able to SHOW instead of just TELLING your example. It helps so much to have something tangible. Hope that helps!
There was so much filler in the beginning of the video that I could not find the entrance to the relevant information. Super intense expressions and zero visual hooks also made it hard to find the relevant parts of the video. Meh.
What's your favourite product on the market RIGHT NOW?! Answers go here 😀
IBMs new Night Vision glasses and Intels Vaunt AR glasses
Night Vision!! Very cool. And anything AR is so extremely exciting. Great answers!

Does lightning demos got to be related/somewhat related to the product that we are trying to build during sprint?
My favorite app now is WeChat , because I am traveling in China and my whole life is in it (It helps me solve all my needs: communicating with friends, booking travel tickets, making payments, shopping, etc. You name it).
i like instagrams's stories, and how they've made super easy to anyone to personalize their stories using different features, like fonts, stickers, effects, etc...
Do we need to have the voting for this section also?
Netflix is my favorite product right now, I like the product's interface and how it draws you closer even if you don't want to look at it, it just keep drawing and drawing you.......

How if the product that we are trying to come up with is really innovative and there are no "direct" inspiration for it?
Salesforce Lighting Platform with Einstein!
