Just found out Yuzo Koshiro composed this little chiptune. The same guy did BGM for Shinobi and Streets of Rage. This is why it is such good quality music.

The real question to which I want the answer is why before one enters the vine on which the boss fight takes place, it is safe, but once one enters that vine, even after the boss is defeated, falling off the edge will "kill" Sonic.
These songs brings me tears of joy and nostalgia. I was so happy at that time playing Sonic in my Master System. Everything was so simple back then, yet so good...

The level after this, Labyrinth I just never completed it, had to have my Dad to do it and he did it, still remembered and witnessed it about 20-25 years ago, thank you dad 😂😂! Never forget those moments man, legendary.
This sounds more like a Carnival Stage than a Jungle Stage. I'm going to find the ROM for this. This and a few others are the only Sonic games I never had a chance to play...and I LOVE Sonic. Grew up with Nintendo and SEGA. Thanks sonicKAI.
The real question that needs to be addressed about this zone's boss is why the area below the vine on which the boss fight takes place is safe, but if the player jumps off, even after defeating Dr. Robotnik, the player loses? Why when one jumps from the vine to the land that is the zone's exit does it cause the player to lose?
When I was a kid, had so many Game Overs because of that boss. It's not hitting him that is difficult. It's avoiding those damn balls/bombs whatever they are.
