blessing is a first gen african through and through, you know his parents have thick accents but value "white" careers and aesthetic bc they think thats where the money and "blessings" reside. and usually as u grow up, u get in tune with your african american friends and learn from all 3 cultures
The problem is calling it a white career, you’re just separating Africans in America from black Americans. Having a good job should be everyone’s goal. This is not an African thing, it’s an immigrant thing. We value what’s actually real, education, strong family values, having good manners, being a good citizen in society, working hard for good careers, and moving forward in life to be stable well rounded adults. These are values that you call “white” and that’s why black people in America tend to not strive for those things or they laugh at those who value that. But these should be normal values that every human should have. Being a doctor, lawyer, engineer are good careers, not white careers. Immigrants like Asians and Africans are thinking smart and for the future, but blacks in America say things like this when they should be striving for the best
he did a white song so he would know whether the person was white or not... lets be real no non white person is finishing the lyrics to that white wedding classic song LMFAO
I already said my piece about Blessing by replying to someone else, but aside from "JUNETEENTH" dude...... this was an okay episode/video. I will say that I've been noticing (some) people in the chat kind of having a groupthink mindset to them for a while now, and maybe I'm wrong :-0, but it's giving "I don't have opinions of my own". Unless that's how they really feel, fine!! From my end, Blessing wasn't being TOO weird. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not entirely anyway. His country neighbors mine (Cameroon) and I'd say his accent was accurate or close to. Leesie was cool, friendly & cute!! I liked her hair.
I do think they kinda just hop on the wagon of what kyah says … I didn’t really cringe at anything he did really besides the obvious stereotypical mindset he has and obviously he won so😭
well i think everyone is different so let’s not forget we can all interpret things differently ❤ me personally i was just upset as everyone else bc it’s a difficult thing watching a black man constantly talking abt stereotypes of black ppl all bc he comes off as craving white validation.

@@briannakelley694 Of course I agree. That was simply my perception of things based on this video and the past ones I've watched of hers. :-) That's fair, maybe he (still) has some internal issues about it, because whatever problem it is, at some point you've got to stop bringing it up and just heal to live your life. Hell, Leesie was ADOPTED by them and she only brought up the "I talk white thing" ONCE. She also wanted to find who were the black women like her in the show, but that was it. All in all, we can't entirely be certain his actions/antics were for white validation, but I'm not crossing out the possibility either.

Okay hear me out, I’m a first gen Sierra Leonean/ Liberian. I was born in Baltimore left when I was 11, moved to Rogers, Minnesota & then Akron, Ohio at the same age and thennn Tallmadge, Ohio @ 13. With the talking "white" thing, it's not just being able to speak proper english, but also slang terms and slight accents from a given area. Most of the time, people have terms they use from their hood or area even with speaking properly.
I'm also a Nigerian American, and I have three different accents, the one he did, my Nigerian accent, and I was raised in the UK, so I also have an English voice.
@kyahsarchive I'm one of the few people who still prounces Water the way it's spelled. I'm still trying to get the real American accent, not the fake one I have.

@bbroklyssd6035 Yeah he was HIGHLY questionable and confusing (to say the least....) in the last episode, but here he was decent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ His hair still needs to be fixed though. Like he's handsome, why is he doing this???????
