Well, if you’re referring to the Swedish version yes. It covers the POV of a Swedish soldier in the Thirty Years War singing about how thousands th he sacrifices for the kingdom no one will remember him when he finally dies. It opens to lines about how short his time at home was, with the part following the chorus about the lack of any glory on the battlefield. Just… so moving. Both English and Swedish versions are good uniquely.
This only can make me imagine the endless casualties of war incompletely immortalized as a painting. A fictional soldier on a fictional charge. He never lived and never died, his life a fabrication representing those who lived, charged into battle, and died in the fields of Poltava. Only to be remembered by brush strokes and notes of music.
30 years of war is problably hell, i think the casuallties of that war was around 8 million people. young, old, nothing to come home to born and baptised in blood.
I think the Swedish lyrics really captures this: "Och när min tid har runnit ut, vem bryr sig då? De kämpar på, får en soldat ett värdig slut? Få somna in... försvinna bort... och aldrig vakna."
What a great cover !!! I love the song, I almost always listen to it, and to see that someone took the time to convert it to a piano version makes me very happy, it's well done, thank you very much for the music: D
Very nice cover, I do wish I can play the vocals at 1:36 down a octive but that's where the left hand is, and it sounds weird if I play that down a octive too
Dorelia Bast thanks, don't get me wrong, this sounds amazing, it is a heavy metal song played on a instrument thats meant for Für Elise, it is a nice comprises
Dorelia Bast wow, that was quick, I do like the way the chords progressively get louder as the song goes on, simpler in the beginning, I m not in front of my piano right now but it looks good, the left hand would take a little bit of getting use to but it looks play-able
I only modified the right hand so it would not bother the left hand while playing the vocals one octave lower. ;) Feel free to let me know if some things are wrong with this alternative chorus when you'll try it
Thanks for this epic cover!!!! By the way, could you please send me the sheets for it? I went to your website and it just shows the link to this video. Thank you!
This is much better. If you learn to read sheet music(which is quite easy though you will of course be slower in the beginning) then you just print it out and have it infront of you so you can see the structure better and not have to click on a screen if you mess up but just look at same place again how to play it
I thought the original version was sad...

Has man gone insane
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war
It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war
From dawn to dawn they're fighting die where they stand
The fog of war lies thick when armies scorch the land
When all of Europe is burning what can be done
They've been to war a decade two more to come
Long way from home
(Döpas och dö i strid)
Lifetime at war
Has man gone insane
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war
It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war
When they face death they're all alike
No right or wrong
Rich or poor
No matter who they served before
Good or bad
They're all the same
Rest side by side now
Has man gone insane
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day

Two things I need to do right now:
Learn Swedish
Learn how to play piano
I know it is quite off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?

This song has always moved me, And being a pianist myself all I can say is goddammit. I teared up.
Play at 75% speed for maximum sad factor
Oh shit

I know that’s not what you meant

Markus exakt, den svenska varianten är den bästa versionen :)
Jag gillar båda lika mycket. De är olika på sitt sätt, och Joakim betonar olika delar av låten på olika sätt i de olika versionerna. Jag gillar båda.
Godmason Beautifully put sir, this the music and the 15 cans of strong Danish lager I've imbued made me cry.
Imagine this version with a soft voice.
That would be awesome
HAS MAN GONE INSANE
A FEW WILL REMAIN
I don't even know the original song... but man, this is so beautiful :) Thank you!
It's treason then
This is one of the greatest songs ever written
The original is metal by the way xd
@@tonigamer730 the original in sweden (specially the live music) is so sad even if you don't understand a word of Sweden.
Has man gone insane
One of the best cover song I ever heard. Nice job indeed
Thank you so much for the work you have done to condence this music to the piano, and for making the sheet music available!
0:37 - 0:54 and 2:40 - 2:52 are the best parts. Just amazing. I love it.
Personally, 0:00-5:52 is my favorite part. But I can see where you're coming from.
I like 3:58-4:14 as well.
The free sheet music is the best part! Thanks for covering it on the piano, I'm on my way through learning it.
Absolutely beautiful ! I would love more sabaton :D
Beautiful on piano
What a wonderful arrangement - hats off !
Today, when war came to my home, that song hits different.
What a great cover !!! I love the song, I almost always listen to it, and to see that someone took the time to convert it to a piano version makes me very happy, it's well done, thank you very much for the music: D
Awwww... This music makes me freakin' joyful! Brilliant!
It sounds way more cheerful on piano, it's a really sad song actually.
has man gone insane
@@emillarsson1299 does this sound cheerful? Maybe it’s because I have heard the original and know the meaning it only sounds sad
*standing ovation* well frickin done
Is so beautiful, I want to use this cover to create a voice cover of this song!
Thank you! Feel free to use it to create a voice cover ;)
Have you done it?
I can't like this enough. Very nicely done.
Printed out the sheet music, too. Thanks for that.
I'm using this in a personal cover parody that probably won't go online. You're amazing!
Although I'm late to see this video, that's an awesome and beautiful cover! Thank you very much for giving the sheet music for free.
This cover made the song a tad better. Thank you for sharing it
Nice work^^
Thanks! :)
Anymore Sabaton or other metal covers? Great job! 👍😊
only one thing: amazing!

Hey there! Any chance that I can record my voice on it for a video? I'd rather ask for your permission first before screwing it up, LOL.
Is the original song written in c minor as well?
but who will mourn for me?
Anybody got a tissue?🥺
Damn man..
Who will find a way to live one more.
Please make a version using professional recording equipment. This is awesome. Too bad the sound quality is like AM radio :(
