    Of the four Warriors championships since 2015, this is probably the best one. They lost the 2019 Finals and suffered all those injuries, ended up with the worst record in 2020, and lost the play-in tournament in 2021. People thought the Warriors dynasty was over, but the Warriors proved them wrong and won the 2022 Finals. Plus, Curry finally got his Finals MVP award. You could just see it in his eyes throughout the entire Game 6, he wanted that championship more than anyone else on the court.

      That 5-year run from 2015 to 2019, making it to the NBA Finals all five seasons and winning 3 Championships was a "modern NBA dynasty". In my opinion, that "dynasty" ended with the 2019 Finals loss and subsequent 2 seasons of injury rehabs and roster reconstruction.
      With Steph leading the way to his 4th Championship, in these 2022 NBA Finals, Steph and (hopefully a fully recovered) Klay can lead a new "dynastic run" over the course of the next 2-3 seasons (or more) with the influx of young talent in Wiseman, Kaminga, and Poole and a resurgent Andrew Wiggins (if they can keep him?!.)

      Curry's legacy is still being written, and in my opinion, was NOT cemented with winning the Finals MVP. One can argue that his legacy was already set, but by winning a 4th Championship, he definitely solidified his place in NBA history. And at age 34, I truly believe his game will age very well. And as long as the Warriors organization can keep/re-sign Wiggins and Poole, and continue to develop their young talent in Kaminga and Wiseman, I truly believe the Warriors can have another 3-5 year NBA Finals run, possobly winning multiple Championships.
      That would further solidify Curry's place in NBA history and potentially place him unequivocally in any Top-10 All-Time Greatest Players list.
      * If Curry can eventually win a 5th Championship, that would put him on par with Magic, Kobe, and Tim Duncan. And if that happens, only Bill Russell, MJ, and Kareem would have more Rings.

    • @Sympyismoon
      @Sympyismoon 2 роки тому +6

      In my opinion yes. He deserves to be in the GOAT conversation. I believe I prefer a Jordan vs Curry debate the reason is this.
      In me, GOAT isn't just stats. It's also about accomplishments, legacy, and the influence you gave on the game.
      LeBron beats curry in terms of stats of course that's a no brainer. But in terms of being influential and his legacy? Curry wins it. Curry is a humble player that stayed on a single team too. Has no drama and no flops that will put a stain on his legacy.
      Jordan popularized the game, but Curry modernized it.
      Truly my #2 player of all time.
