"The water quality will be insane"
You said that when the pond was first created, still have never seen it.
If you install the UV device horizontally you will need a way to bleed off accumulated/entrained air periodically. Also, the bypass needs to be closed or most of the flow will preferentially go that way instead of through the UV device and defeat the purpose of even using it.
If you want to fix the issue youre having with algae just put some copper in the filtration and you wont ever have problems with algae again. It works for water trough, pools etc… and it keeps your water pristine. A lot of farmers use it for their ranches. Any copper pipping will work and it does not harm the fish in any kind of way.
Actually depending on the ph of the tank copper piping would be toxic to the rays and quite a few other species that he doesn't have. But since Blake has rays it is something to consider if he is going to add them to the large tank.
What about in a big natural lake that doesn’t have filtration system? Can copper help get rid of all the algae and stuff that floats in the surface?? The water is naturally crystalline but in the surface there’s always some fungus or algae idk what it is.
@@Arturo-hc9pl Managing the proper levels of copper in a lake to effect free floating algae would be beyond most peoples means. Plus prolonged exposure to high levels of copper has been found to be damaging to not only the biological bacteria and beneficial inverts it can cause gill, organ, and immune issues within the fish population. Copper is like any other treatment; there is a time and a place for it. Like any other water quality issue always finding the source of the issue and correcting it is the best way to go instead of throwing chemical bandaids on it. And you probably have some sort of water plant like duckweed that is on the surface of the lake and not any type of algae.
The bypass valve needs to be closed on the uv light you just replaced so all the water flows through the light.

First thing i noticed, But then i seen he had the valves partially open. Dont know how much flow those lights call for or how you would know how much they are getting. Something to think about thats for sure. I also think he is slacking on water changes. Monster fish are a job.
The UV is installed wrong and will sooner or later get to much air trapped, and heats up an crack. The UV must be installed lower so airbubbles dont get trapped and UV runs dry....

Hello my friend all that filtration is very good but mostly for a swimming pool. I think if you adjust a big sub filter with a lot of biological materials on the top and with one pump you can have better clarity and read one follower what says for the UV and the air is important. Thanks

You need to close your bypass valve on that uv you just replace so it doesn’t mix just runs through the uv
Check the center valve on the system you just replaced, I believe it is bypassing the UV unit.

The depth of your tank is not deep enough to cause pressure injuries. Every 10 meters or 33 feet doubles the atmospheric pressure. Under 10 feet would be insignificant. The pH shock from the new concrete was more than likely the issue.

Typically run the water through the uv chamber then activate bulb ....this stops uv from lighting its chamber while dry it also allows you to burp air bubbles out....air inside can burning casing...gaskets etc
Personally I don't think uv filtration going to be the most helpful. I would get more biological filtration going in there... like a lot more. If you could get a ton of bolder sized lava rocks and banked it up in the back and run some air stones under it. That would give your beneficial bacteria more surface area to live on, the air stones would move the water over the rock to allow the BB to filter for you and give the smaller fish some hiding spots. Also consider some plants like pothos, mostera, peace lily, papyrus in some baskets at the top. They will help with chemical filtration.

Maybe don't get in the tank, just get a magnetic cleaner like at the otter enclosure. Alternatively use a long stick and clean it from above, you do get extendable paint sticks that you could easily attach a squegee to, and no they aren't expensive so you don't need to be rich!

Try using magic eraser pads on the windows....they work awesome in my acrylic tanks...doesn't scratch it either...makes it real easy to get the tougher algaes off and panels will look crystal clear again....the green UV needs to be changed too...both bulbs should be label dated and changed yearly...plus a good water change it'll be looking great again

PC makes a lot off his merch and side hustles too. UA-cam doesnt pay good lol. Even Faze Rug makes more off Real Estate bought with youtube money though.
urban ranch ( uncle ben ) went from a tiny little back yard , to buying a crack house property and it now looks amazing , no clue what he makes off youtube but im sure it has helped a lot

Blake i feel like you should be doing atleast 25-30% water change every week on the big tank. Or if you just had a slow trickle of constant fresh water and an overflow in the cabbybara pond or something. I know OFR has constant fresh water entering into their monster pond system. Just a idea. Dont know how much water changes you are doing.

I think filtration is lacking more chamber, it is a big tank then you only have 2 cylinder for chamber, if youll make it 5 you have crystal clear tank e dont need a uv light for that cause it a indoor tank

Your actually using the wrong filtration .All you need is a 125 sump for your filtration and a strong pump.You will never be able to get the clarity pristine with out a major amount of beneficial bacteria. In my experience lava rock will be the best choice. Also, you need more surface agitation as well.Add three strong (wave makers). Take exactly 5 pennies and throw them in that waterfall to control the algae. That amount of copper will kill the algae and it wont harm your fish. Male sure you clean the pennies.. follow these simple hacks and you will be astound.
The uv at the highest point? This wil not work. You need to install it correctly..
