Great question! You can load it up, using the entire width! Absolutely! But I'll toss this in, too. When you plan to use the entire width, keep an eye on your heddles. Make sure you have enough for your project before you begin threading them. And if you have extra heddles, feel free to leave them on the shafts, but you want to be sure all your warp yarns travel straight. Here's what I mean. If your extra heddles take up 1" of space at the end of your shaft, your warp yarns will be forced to move around them, which is not ideal. So instead, as you thread your heddles, work the extras in between the yarns. This will allow you to avoid the hassle of taking off heddles while still gracefully using your entire width.
