I find these 690enduroadventure videos a 100 times more interesting to watch than normal hard-enduro videos with full on enduro bikes because what you are doing is real world. I love the fact that you guys tackle anything and everything with these heavy bikes. I am amazed by what you achieve with them. I took a 2015 690 across the USA on the TAT a few years back and some of that was pretty technical up in the Rockies especially fully loaded up with luggage and extra fuel tank. However, it was mostly pretty dry and what you guys are doing is in the mud and slush and you are getting through brilliantly even on steep hills. You are incredibly lucky to have access to the places that you ride, most of the UK does not have any public access land like that, but I am glad you are taking full advantage of it and your videos are simple and straightforward but really inspirational stuff. Keep them coming!

It's nice to see you take the bike on proper XC/Enduro trails. In US it seems seems to be common for people to think enduro and adventure are the same think and they only end up taking the bike on gravel roads.

c'mon, what's the key to the single-track??? How do you get it to knife like that??? I bought a '16 new and do a decent amount of single-track but can't get comfortable. Too slow and the bike turns heavy and if I give it some speed, it seems to want to shoot into any which direction. Getting it to turn tight seems to be my nemesis, once the trail straightens out it feels better. I've tried all sorts of techniques - sitting/standing/revving/lugging/outside peg weight/inside peg weight/etc. I'm running stock gearing as I ride a lot of highway slab to get to the trails and my tires are pirelli mt21 front and dunlop 606 rear (because of all the tarmac). Trails are sand, btw. Any insights would be much appreciated. Thanks from Toronto!!!

I somehow think the 690E was the bike I was looking for rather than the 1290SAR that I have. The 690E definitely could have cruise control to top it off, though. By the looks of it, the 690E is still a bit heavy for the stuff you guys are doing but is "capable of doing it". Any of that slop or loose sand or bulldust, my 1290 front will just pan out. Bastard of a bike it is. Great on road but really, anything real loose and it's game over. Just too much weight over the front wheel

I was cracking up at 6:30 when your 690 mounted friend made that hill with style, shooting a huge roost at the end, and then your other buddy on the two stroke didn't make it.
I live in Colorado, these bikes are great do it all explore kind of machines for riding here, as the elevation saps power from the smaller bikes, and there are open areas where the 690 can actually stretch it's considerable legs a little and get into 3rd gear in the dirt. 😆 Scroll to 24:15 or so to get a taste of a 690 running at speed in the western desert of the US.
