Love to see your views on these! I do love the artistic approach on the Orto Parisi line. Although I do think they're very wearable, I appreciate them more as art concepts. The Javanol and metallic musk sledgehammer in the base of all of them does bother me at times, but I tend to come back to them here and there 😁Brutus is lovely and very overlooked. I think it's very versatile, just like Viride (much more on the Fougére style). My favourites are still Terroni, Seminalis and Stercus. Great review mate! Cheers 🐏

Alessandro Gualtieri's work is fascinating. I have trouble with a lot of it due to being hyperosmic to some components and vaguely anosmic to others in a number of them, but the ones that I can get a reasonable feel for I'm glad to have tried. What you say about the synthetics makes sense. It's always seemed to me (personal impression) like there are parts of recognisable synthetic accords in there, but the components are 'out of balance' (some elements relatively over/underdosed) compared to how they're typically used and/or partial (but not the sort of focused partial use in Rose & Cuir for example).
The only time I've worn one of his fragrances much was during peak covid here, and I'd liberally spray Black Afgano (which I quite like) before I went supermarket shopping. As a distancing technique it worked wonders! Mask or no, people didn't tend to come within a few feet of me 😃
Dang and here I was wearing Black Afgano to attract people 🤣🤣🤣

When Nasomatto verges on designer for you, you know you’re DEEP into niche lol.
To tie your Julius Cesar and recent references to Dante together (love it), don’t recall if you’ve already mentioned this, but I like remembering that Dante places Brutus and Cassius each in one of his giant, three-headed Satan’s mouths, being chewed for eternity along with Judas. Dante really viewed betrayal as the worst possible thing you could do I guess.

I have gone the other way in my fragrance journey to you. I hated designer fragrances because they were so synthetic so I went to vintage and natural fragrances. Now I have moved away from vintage and I love the synthetic molecule amberwood niche fragrances when they’re used well with naturals. I still don’t like designers though.
Orto Parisi is maybe the only brand I would own every bottle. I have 3 so far Terroni, Megamare and Cuoium.

Great review Ramsey. I have 2 Orto Parisi and 3 Nasomatto. I appreciate them as creative and artistic, but I don't like to wear them. At first I loved them, now I find them as a chemical assault. I sampledseveral OP's & Naso's, but they were those stupid little blister bubbles with a tube, and an end cap you break off. You have to squirt out the juice and smear it. So bad. I don't think these types of samples do the juice justice, as I think it needs to be dispersed in a spray to get the full effect. I've said in your live streams a couple of times, I've worn Bergamask form those bubble samples, but couldn't take it after a short time and had to scrub it off. Brutus is the only sample in a mini sprayer, and I don't have much interest in trying it again. I respect Gualtieri and what he's doing with his creations. I especially like his imagery and marketing.
@@mpukas you really have to be okay with the synthetic Ingredients to be down with this house, but the way he is doing it is unique and creative, but it can feel like an assault on your sense sometimes lol

Thank you for talking about this one. I've recently started to appreciate Mr. Gaultieri's for his peculiar artistic style with respect to not just the scents, but also names, presentation, social media art. I've recently purchased Megamare, but also got my nose on Pardon and Stercus, which might become part of the collection, eventually.
I own Pardon and if money was no issue I would own Stercus too... I loved it
This was an awesome review as always. This house is very promising, and I do like the work of Alessandro Gualtieri. The only thing I don't like about this house is that the bottle size per price. Both houses of Nasamatto and Orto Parisi charge way to much using cheaper synthetic materials instead of natural real materials. If they sold them in 100ml size with synthetic materials or if they used natural materials and offer 30ml bottles it would be better.

@RamseytheRam Alessandro Gualtieri knows what he is doing... I do like the fragrances from both houses. I just wish they were 100ml bottles for the price they are asking... if Alessandro Gualtieri was using the same materials like Russian Adam, I'd gladly pay even more for the 30ml bottles. I also think the reason why he doesn't release notes for both houses is because it would be easier for other houses to replicate the scents because he is using synthetic materials. If he used real materials like Russian Adam, then he didn't have to hide notes because it would be almost impossible for other houses to copy the work.

It is the tamest of all Orto Parisi's. Patch on top of white musks. I would have no problem wearing it to an average business meeting. Like it.
Though I wouldn't wear it to the important business meeting, it's not thaaat good.

Although sadly someone told me the newest batch was weak and only last 4 to 5 hours .. which is nutz because my bottle is like a 24 hour fragrance
This is my least favourite from the house
Performance is also not great on my skin
Cuoium , megamare are probably my top 2

I personally find Gualtieri to be refreshing. I own all Orto Parisi fragrances. I don't know if I find Nasomatto to be "Designer" (think Sadonaso, China White, and Narcotic V). That said, I own those three plus Baraonda, Hindu Kush,and.....something. I did not embrace the house as much as Orto Parisi. Always love your take on fragrances. Swamped with life, however, I normally catch up on the road and late night with your vids. I could talk back and forth on Gualtieri and synthetics for hours. Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉😊

Cheers Rams, just pulled out my sample of 4 Years ago and I gotta say now today I am not as shocked or amazed as I remember being , it’s tamer than a lot the indie releases of today for sure , but I love your analogy of a Fougere stabbed in the back brilliantly thought out ,I didn’t grab a bottle,
I was more impressed and shocked with Stercus, pre Indian barn ouds discovery of course lol 😂. Anyways I saw the Diaghilev comment and I can say my new bottle is as good as my 4 year old 8 ml travel decant, just saying, then of course I’d never do a Brutus on my favorite fragrance now would I , damn you Brutus hahah . Great video have a good one man ✌️🙏👍

To my nose Brutus is a unisex fougere and it reminds me a lot the feeling of Beau De Jour without the mossy masculinity!
It's an elegant perfume but nothing mind blowing, i tottaly prefer Beau De Jour.
I wouldn't describe any of the Orto Parisi line as elegant...but that's just me
@@RamseytheRam I know what you mean about the line but i always find fougeres very elegant as scent profiles! I love Cuoium and it's the only one from the line i bought a full bottle ❤️🔥
