Wow thank you so much for such a detailed explanation. Specially rounding the lower back and lifting the mid back to ensure our spine is protected. Thank you ❤
Well explained. I’m 69 years old now and I practiced this for 8 years ago even I’m not an ashtangi more hatha vinyasa. I didn’t achieve to come into final pose after trying for more than 1 year and so I gave up. But this video give me again that hope to try again. Thank you so much🙏🏽Kalyaniyoga 💖
I love your tutorials! They are a huge game changer for my practice! And please make some videos of the postures from the third series. Vasisthasana, Visvamitrasana
I really appreciate everything you said about the pelvic tilt and uddiyana activation. I think I tend to get a bit too occupied trying to get the foot behind the head and forget about all the rest. For me, it definitely feels more like I am activating the wrong muscles rather than lacking flexibility. I have a similar feeling in Marichyasana B with the forward fold.
loved this tutorial, been trying to do this pose for years, hopefully I will make some progress now. Been following you both on instagram for long time so glad I came across your videos on u tube. I am trying to work through all your videos from start even though I would say I am intermediate.
Thank you so much for sharing these tips! So valuable and helpful! Especially keeping both hips in line with each other and keeping the lower back round 🙏🏻🥰 Hello from Manila, Philippines
I love this. I was doing practice tonight with a new instructor, and I had a similar insight with the back straightening. It made such a difference. I am such a novice compared to you guys, but you really give me inspiration because I can see how much further I have to go. A lot! (you guys are also amazing instructors, and your rapport is insanely good! ... yes I know you are married 😄)
You two are so informative 😊 could you consider making a video about hero/half hero? I’ve watched your video on how to take care of your knees but this pose is giving me trouble! Many thanks
Thank you for the excellent video. I did Eka Pada Sirsasana today for the first time and I am celebrating with watching tutorial videos :) I like that the two of you have different tips and perspectives on what’s important. Thanks and have a nice day.
When I try and do this pose I get a lot of pain underneath my knees, is this okay or am I doing something wrong, or do I just have bad knees? P.S. Thank you for this great tutorial!
With those high risk / low benefits poses I would ignore vinyasa count by now , as during led intermediate class I had to rush / both eka pada and divipada / in results I hurt my hip joint and another band in my inner tight. No fun at all, it’s been a while and it’s still there… I’ll try ur tips and see if not putting hip into such a external rotation but work with leg itself helps 👍🏽👍🏽

And yes pls do tutorials on those third series leg behind the head poses 🙏
Thank you for this pedagogical tutorial. Next time with both legs, please. Thanks in advance. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
