Am I the only one that realized that Volkov is probably old as hell at this point? He served in the Second World War, which was in the late 40s and 50s, and this is in the 80s
Ahh yes, this mission was very fun, though Chitzkoi is very hard to control once he gets near a large group of enemies, it's very hard to get him away in time before he dies.
Kinda wish that the Eiffel Tower would have a unique "death" animation. Btw, Volkov and Chitzkoi was always my favorite mission in RA:Counterstrike when I was a kid, so I was especially happy that the duo was back in MO. Edit: Chitzkoi is no longer killed when the vehicle he is attached to is killed by Volkov. Edit2: Is it me, or Volkov no longer craves Stalin's pants? :D
*"While your NKVD and others are trying desperately to convince Premier Romanov that you are loyal"* Only in this universe would the NKVD work against the premier instead of, you know, incarcerating military figureheads even faster.
In "Unshakeable" it is stated that the Premier is keeping the operation in Japan a secret from High Command even though he is, you know, THE PREMIER. Soviet hierarchy is a mess in the Mental Omega timeline.
Let's say that the Soviet Commander leaked the intel that it was Yuri who stole the Stalin Fist plans to everyone AND THEN defects to the Allies, what happens next? Would Volkov defect? The Russian Army in America? What if the Allies gain Cloning Tech and Soviet Tech through the defection of the Soviet Commander? How wpuld this affect the Sixth Allied and Epsilon Missions? The rest of the storyline?
Oh My God. Volkov is a kinda one man army. But can you give me some details about his dog? Because he looks too overpowered , it might be a robot of some sort. Another question : Were Volkov and his dog scripted to die harder? Because their health depleted really fast , but they still managed to survive with almost 0 health and a lot of enemy fire upon them.
Klaus-Myth Hunter I believe the dog, I forget how to spell the exact name, is a cyborg much like Volkov. Thus why it's more powerful than the average pup.
Klaus-Myth Hunter Volkov is a Soviet Cyborg from Red Alert 1, one of the Stalins greatest superweapons. Chitzkoi is a cybernetic dog, and in Mental Omega functions as a super terror drone.
Oktavia Von Seckendorff That's actually the best part. French forces finally doing what they should've done from the beginning - sending all they've got straight at you. Can you survive?
+Oktavia Von Seckendorff Well, yeah. You aren't invincible, so the emphasis on kiting does lend well to a late-game challenge. If it makes you feel better, feel free to herd the French towards explosive barrels.
It's not that bad if you took your time to clear out enemy forces before you destroyed everything... Also, the enemy will always prioritize Volkov over Chitzkoi.
+Linkai Ma (MakeV) Yes. Since no tesla weapon is effective against building I found it weird that his is. Instead he'll receive Kirov-like bombs as a more fitting visual for an anti-structure weapon.
Just a word of warning to anyone doing this mission. At the end if you destroy all structures without killing all the enemies first they all swarm you and will kill you at the end lol. I had to replay it there, fucking annoying.
I feel like the hardest part of this mission is keeping Chitzkoi under control.
No, boy, don't get overexcited in mauling the capitalist scum!
like in reallife doggy
"our Premier Romanov does not quite the time he is recorded authorizing the strike"
I think there's at least one word missing there. :P
indeed, I think the programmer might have accidently a word or two.
Am I the only one that realized that Volkov is probably old as hell at this point? He served in the Second World War, which was in the late 40s and 50s, and this is in the 80s
That combined his profiles meant that he is nearly 100 years old
@@elkinnortlee3497 well yeah but since he is a cyborg its ok with chitzkoi too 👌
Probably he used to be dead but then got revived as a cyborg
Nice Tiberian Dawn reference in this one guys.
Kudos to you!
Ahh yes, this mission was very fun, though Chitzkoi is very hard to control once he gets near a large group of enemies, it's very hard to get him away in time before he dies.
Well, they can rebuild him, they have the technology.
3:20 No destruction animation for the Eiffel tower? Somehow the Statue of Liberty's remains in this mod during Mission 1.
As long as the mission is awesome to play (which it is), I'm fine with the absence of the animation.
Kinda wish that the Eiffel Tower would have a unique "death" animation.

SolaisYosei Chitz was never killed when vech with him inside was killed by Volkov.
Alstar Really? I remember it happening once in this mission in BR1.
Maybe chitz destroyed vechicle and accidently got killed by volkov lightning just as he popped out?
"What, nobody to kill?"x~10000 in this video
So this is the first mission where the two soviet legends make their return. I love this mod and seeing the soviet duo again makes it all better.
Are you planning on bringing back veteran units for subfactions?
Volkov attack speed becomes faster?
Do they have auto heal or are you just a god at keeping them alive?
Both Chitzkoi and Volkov can auto heal, and they have a ridiculous amount of health for hero units.
The Ugly Barnacle Oh, Awesome. Thanks for clearing that up :p

What if the Soviet Commander defected to the Allies at this point?
And reveal Yuri's plans to everyone?
In "Unshakeable" it is stated that the Premier is keeping the operation in Japan a secret from High Command even though he is, you know, THE PREMIER.

Bridge are not destroyed now :O
If we only more men like Volkov to take care of Gorby-chev
Welp, now the Allies know what happened to the missing bodies of Volkov and Chitzkoi...
Chitzkoi iz very good boi comrade.
2:10 Volkov: Just like the old days...And Iran!
LOL what is his proplem with Iran?
Somebody should make HD sprites for this
... Why did they even bother to capture the Eiffel Tower when they could just use the two cyborgs to wreak havoc in the first place?
Oh My God. Volkov is a kinda one man army.

Grumpydrawer Chitzkoi

Corporal Bigglesworth
Ah that's it! No wonder I couldn't spell it!
Thanks mate.
Is there a point in making "destroy all forces" as an objective in recon missions? The last 4 minutes look annoying as fuck.
Oktavia Von Seckendorff That's actually the best part. French forces finally doing what they should've done from the beginning - sending all they've got straight at you. Can you survive?
+Mental Omega for Red Alert 2
4 minutes of running around is the best part?
+Oktavia Von Seckendorff
Well, yeah. You aren't invincible, so the emphasis on kiting does lend well to a late-game challenge. If it makes you feel better, feel free to herd the French towards explosive barrels.
+DeviantProtagonist thats not even kiting chitzkoi was doing most of the work XD
It's not that bad if you took your time to clear out enemy forces before you destroyed everything...
Also, the enemy will always prioritize Volkov over Chitzkoi.
So now volkov has a new way of tearing down structures?
+Linkai Ma (MakeV) Yes. Since no tesla weapon is effective against building I found it weird that his is. Instead he'll receive Kirov-like bombs as a more fitting visual for an anti-structure weapon.
attack on paris
Aaaawwwww yeeeeah.
I think the Chinese sub faction need the *five yellow star* symbol, instead of *hammer and sickle* symbol.

2:19 new rank? Awesome
