I love when an educator teaches a tool or technique rather than a style or design. This gives people the ability to take it and make it theirs, adding it to their repertoire so they can create something new instead of just duplicating what someone else has already done. This is brilliant, and I love it! Thank you!!
Thanks for the question. I did texturize the entire head first with my Sam Villa Textur Iron. This gives in volume and fullness, which makes upstyles so much easier! You don't need to texturize the entire head of hair, if you want to save time just textur the hair from base to ends and skip an inch or two before each compression instead of doing the entire strand of hair. This will still give you texture and volume but will cut the prep time in half. Hope this helps.
I love this and I would definitely wear it!!! What I love about this is very out of the ordinary and out of the comfort zone!! Is fearless and obviously different!!! Really love it!!!
Sam you never disappoint me....I feel like I could watch you and learn how to do anything....I love how you present the techniques in such an easy to follow fashion...I look forward to seeing you at the Richmond hairshow and again at the Symposium in Vegas...
Thank you 😊 so much for making all of these super amazing 😉 hair tutorials Sam. Wow I’ve been inspired also I pay a lot of attention to detail with various hairstyles. I’m autistic and have 2GCSE’s in art and Graphics, I love ✍️ creating different designs also making different hair styles too. Your such an inspiration
Thank you Sam!! i'm going to beauty school right now and we're having a fashion runway soon, i have no idea what to do hairstyle-wise on my model but you just gave me a tremendous amount of ideas! thank you for sharing your ideas and techniques, going to school, they only teach the basics but you've already taught me so much i wouldn't ever learn in school! thank you again and i'm so glad i discovered your channel! much love from a hairdresser to-be :)
LOVE the idea of bending one side of the hair pin, I have always stayed away from them due to the fact, if the client will be dancing they could fall out. I will love to start using them again with bending one side.
My mother was a hairdresser for 30+ years, you would think something would have rubbed off on me, other than how to color my hair, but not so much. I LOVE this idea for a hairstyle. I am thinking this would go PERFECT with my daughters Candy Princess costume that I made for Halloween. Thank you so much for teaching me so many awesome things....sincerely A hairdressers daughter
almost a year ago i took my hairstyling exam and mine was inspired one this one ( my teacher send me this video ) and i've past my test :) thank you sir for the insparation!
That's awesome! Thanks for the comment! Good luck in the runway show and please post pics to my Facebook page (samvillahair) or email them to info@samvilla.com.
Sam!! Where have you been all my life??? I love your energy and your videos are excellent. I purchased your texture iron and can't wait to use it. I'm a "civilian" but I'm learning so much through your channel. Look forward to your creations each week.
all these hairstyles are beautiful but my hair won't grow past my shoulders. I can't afford a sew in or extensions all the time how can I fix my hair in a unique way with its length being an obstacle

wow .. that's an awesome mannequin head .. love how thick the hair is...I've never seen one like that around where I would get mine...
The bend-the-end-into-a-barb technique in the hairpins is genius. I never understood how those things were expected to stay in as they were designed.

Looks great... your model doesn't look too impressed though lol

If you are using a mannequin, the hair needs to be pretty long; otherwise it doesn't work.
