Rempe needs to play about 10 minutes in game 1. Love Chytil but FL is going to try to beat up on us. We need someone to push and fight back.
While I agree that he helps physically. The Rangers have shown enough toughness that it won't cost them the series. What will cost them is not getting the puck out of our own end and getting crushed on the forecheck. Long sustained pressure by other teams have cost the rangers basically every playoff run since they won the cup. Never enough offense. We need all the offensive talent we can muster. Have to play in their zone more than against Carolina. Jones and Chytil need to be in. Chytil 100% needs to play if he can go.

Put Rempe in to flatten Sam Bennet and Sam Reinhart in FL, everyone is worried about him when he is on the ice. Set the tone then finish them with Chytil.
Cannot wait to see Chytil play this series.
I think his gonna be the X factor for the Blueshirts. He'll bring speed, playmaking and hopefully some goals and assists too

Refs will call more penalties on both teams if Rempe plays, which benefits the Rangers. If refs let things go it will be trouble for us. There will be injuries and guys will get their chances, but Rempe should be in game 1.
vesey is 6'3 207. use wheeler if an injury.
looks like we got the lineup for game 1 - 3rd line will be Chytil-Wennberg-Kakko and 4th will be Cuyle-Woodrow-Vessey.

I agree with you, Eric, on Blake Wheeler. I think that he was A Great Player throughout A Very Good Career, but, he was in the lineup when they were on their New Year Losing Streak. Thus, I agree, that he'd be a player that you'd want as a Reserve Player, in case that there is an Injury, which would get him a shot at A Stanley Cup Ring. I'd also leave Chytil out of lineup for Same Or Similar reasons. It seems that the team that is on the ice has Chemistry that you don't want to mess with, at this point. Let me know what you think

Chytil should start. My initial thought is Rempe because Florida is a physical team, but that's wrong. It's wrong because the Rangers have to play their game. They have to focus on their play and not get caught up in how the Panthers play. With Chytil injured, Rempe was just a warm body that they put in the lineup to fill the hole.
Trouba is staying in the lineup but they have to put Gus Bus on the bench and play either Jones or Ruwhedal(typo) and have Trouba paired up with 1 of them on the 3rd pair
Much as I like Rempe, you gotta play a healthy Chytil and get that third line going. Kaapo has been MIA since he scored that gimme goal against the Caps.
As a rangers fan all I can say is this series is gonna go 6. Minimum.
Insert 72 on the 3rd line and 17 on the 4th line and thank the rookies for a great season. FL is a big physical team so speed and size are at a premium which they’ll add as well as the experience factor.

I predict Trouba supermans himself into the boards headfirst and is out for 2 games and rempe gives us a chance to get more powerplay practice, fl could use some more special teams experience
i feel like putting rempe in in place of chytil to start a series gives FLA a win before the puck even drops.
Now I’m wishing Drury had brought in at least 1RW . I’ve been skeptical about the Rangers all year and again I don’t think they get past Florida. Hopefully they prove me again
We need to have Rempe he has to be there just to put the rats that being Thacuk, Bennett and Cousins in their place.
Rempe needs to be in when we are at home, Florida’s game is to try and bully their opponents.. we will need Troubs, Rempe and are other guys to play big at home. Could see Chytil playing in the games at FL as we don’t dictate the matchups.
do we still make the trades for wennberg or roselvic if chytil and wheeler not hurt? play chytiluse wheeler if an injury happens

At least Rempe is a right hand shot for the 4th line. I don’t like the fact with Chytil playing, the 3rd and 4th lines are all lefties, 6 left hand shots.
Yea but this team has enough talent that it shouldn't make much of a difference. We need Chytils playmaking and scoring ability way more than we need Rempes toughness. I love the guy but if we go on to lose this series, I can almost guarantee that the lack of offensive zone pressure and goal scoring will be the culprit. Our Achilles heel for soooo many years.

With 6 lefties on bottom 3 lines that’s something that Florida will exploit.
@@monkeyshines11 whatever they do chytil has to stay in. He's our best skill guy by far after the usual suspects. I wouldn't mind taking kakko out. Guys softer than baby shit and can't produce a God damn thing. That's assuming they wanna keep Rempe in with Chytil which I don't mind.

I wouldn’t play Hytl. I’m a big fan of his, but he’s one hit away from him NEVER playing again. And that would be a shame.

Clearly you weren't watching Jones at the end of the regular season. He was performing way above expectation. I was actually shocked and thought he was one of the better defensive corp. The boys got skills, he just doesn’t get enough ice time. He doesn't cough up the puck unlike someone we know.
Jones all day on D. We need a guy that can skate. When they dump it in someone's gotta retrieve it quickly to avoid a hit and start heading back up ice for a breakout. Gus is too slow he gets walloped in the corner and boom they have control in our zone. Jones changes that.
Oh Chytl was concussed he wouldn’t be cleared to play. He had a bug. He’s got speed and skill he’s fresh. He’s gonna make an impact. Panthers are fast. We need Chytl Rempe looks like he’s skating in slush. Can’t check anyone without getting penalty called , even if it’s bad calls don’t change the fact we have to kill those PPs

Play Chytil in game 1 and if Florida's physicality is an issue AND rangers lose game 1, you play Rempe game 2.

Why does Kaapo Kakko get a pass he is not playing up to his draft status. He was a second round draft pick overall! A least at the point Alexis Lafreniere has playing to his capabilities and more! Hopefully I won’t jinx him!

Yea he's terrible. The one great play he attempted to make in the playoffs. Circled the net 3 times with some great puck skills. The result? Not even a shot on net. Been saying he needs to go for awhile. If he ever figures it out it won't be here
Chytil came back and played 1 game and then was diagnosed as "sick"... Not sure why everyone wants to see him come back and get a career ending injury. He's not going to come back and play the rest of the playoffs.
No offense Anthony but one game doesn't get a players jersey in the rafters unless they win it all so calm it down. Especially Kreider who has always been consistently inconsistent his whole career! Not sure I understand this younger generation's obsession with making players stars with a few games, or a few years of success.
