Ok so for the last screen at 3:00 1) You need to jump, then dash into the green gem. You need to hit the dash button at the peak of your jump. The peak of your jump should be *the moment the blue walls become solid.* 2) Do 3 wall jumps. Left, right, left. Once you jump off the left wall for the second time, dash upwards when you’re in the middle so you will collect the gem. 3) As you fall downwards, dash straight up again once you hit the spot where the gem you just collected used to be. 4) Wall jump. Left, right, left, right. After the last jump, you should be collecting the gem, which you can use to dash into the heart. Godspeed.
Took me 2 hours and 47 minutes in a single day, I just finished the level, I was so pissed off during about 85% of the entire fucking sequence of the level that when I reached the final scene with the dissapearing pillars, I felt relief. 💀💀💀 Not to mention I haven't even own the game for more than two days and, as soon as I finished Chapter 2 and collected the tape, I went straight into the B-side (my very FIRST B-Side level too), because my dumbass thought "I don't know what to expect, how bad can it be?" ☠😭😭😭
It took me 2 hours and 700 deaths to beat this level. Surprisingly it seems like most people had a hard time getting the heart which didnt take me too long. What got me was the room before...
I had incredible trouble getting pass the godamn sequence where your single clone hunts you for the last time, I lost about 370 hearts (out of 655 b-deaths total 💀) JUST on that screen. I wanted to end myself as soon as I escaped this torture.
Same. Took me 416 deaths to beat this B side and prob 100 of them on the second to last screen alone. Def the hardest screen IMO cause it just seems to go on forever
I was here because I couldn't figure out how to get the top left switch at 2:14, apparently I checked jumping everywhere except where I was actually supposed to jump to save my dash
I know the feeling. I went back to Chapter 2 after beating chapter 3 because I'd figured out the trick with screen transitions acting as refresh crystals and thought I might be able to use that to reach the heart I found while awake in the dream. I succeeded, then proceeded to get most of the strawberries, the B side cassette, and all without too much difficulty. So I felt confident. Past tense. The B side has put me in my place....but I'm at the last room, have seen the red heart up at the top....I'm not backing out *now*!
Celeste: for those that grew up on MegaMan 2-3 and Super Metroid. Most modern platformers are a cake walk. Not Celeste. Later base story levels are already moderately difficult; the B-sides are the "oh you're an expert? That's cute." levels. I didn't cry at all so how about you get out of here because I deserve to be here. ( Well maybe I don't because I kinda cheated by using a skill you learn in 7B.)
That last room was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I ended up finding that just jumping up one of the walls was easier than jumping between each one
I got confused on where to go in A side (after the mirror broke), and my young newbie heart ended up coming here. I thought it was just the rest of the level. I was very wrong.
that and the one before it, it broke me becuase i know i can do those but my muscle memory didn't cooperate 1559 deaths, half were me timing my presses wrong lol
For anyone struggling with 2:33, if you do a diagonal dash jump left after your first dash you can completely avoid those first two areas. Guy in this video goes Dash jump, walljump, dash jump , walljump, dash jump, walljump, dash jump, wallclimb. The easier way to do it is dash, diagonal dash jump, wallclimb.
2:33 You can also grab to the ledges of the jellys by turning the stick to the opposite direction + grab button while you're swimming through it. Its slower but safer.
@@Exploshi I don't think they're meant to be done in a certain order or anything. The easiest B-side is definitely harder than anything in the main game, but I'm pretty sure the devs intended for you to have the option to do the B-sides before finishing the main story, otherwise they would've restricted you from doing so. That said, I think it's probably better to not worry about finishing the B-sides until finishing the main story. Of course, you can do them beforehand if you want, but it shouldn't be considered a necessity or anything.
Two tips for anyone struggling with the last room (before the vertical wall into the heart): - You need to press "jump" exactly as you leave a fluid block in order to get momentum (i for some reason found this confusing and had to learn the timing at this portion) - For the very last two dashes through the fluid block i found it very helpful to grab the block and then dash through it while still grabbing. If you adjust the direction you're grabbing during your dash, you end up grabbed on the other side. For example: you grab left, dash through the block and change your stick direction to the right, you end up grabbing right after you exit the block. This makes the last two dashes less hectic than how it was shown in the video
That trick of changing direction made this so easy .. I was struggling so much with that kinda jump direction change .. the grab just works .. thanks 🙂
At 2:33, if you dash up-left immediately after exiting the box you can skip the next two empty rooms and go straight to the key. Also, at 2:44 you can hold right while grabbing to immediately grab onto the wall, so you don't have to worry about the spikes.
PRO TIP for 2:33 You don't have to jump out of the block at all. If after entering you hold Grab in the opposite direction, you will stick to the other side of the block in a climbing position. I found it a lot easier to do this for the initial ascent. This concept is explored further in the C-Side.
just finished in 1 hr 50 minutes, i was stuck on 2:02 for a very long time because i did not understand how to long jump the last one, i just spammed the jump button and it worked at last. For the last one, it was easy, i did it in my second attempt.
I here, a little trick, especially for the 2:33 part; you can stay stick to the " sticky wall " after crossing it ! Just hold the grab button and the button for the opposite direction you are going. For example you go to the right :as crossing the wall, you keep pressing grab + left direction, and you will not need to jump after the wall, you will just have to climb and move on to the next step
the secret is jumping past the middle gem and landing back onto it when the walls disappear and immediately dashing up. then just flail until you get the heart
Finally got that heart after so long on that last part. Thanks for this video, I never would have got it, otherwise. Meaning I would never play another game on my Switch because I’d be afraid of losing that progress
Here's a tip for anyone struggling with the heart part: You can use your current jump to get to the very bottom of the walls. Then after grabbing the jump crystal, keep walljumping until the walls turn off. Dash up, get the second dash crystal, and do that until you can reach the heart.

My god thank you for this tip I succeeded because of it, so I'm gonna give you another one : you don't need to always hold the grab button, you can go in the options and turn the grab button into a grab on/grab off button.
When I first played this level after just finishing 2-A, it was hard for me. Then I came back to this level after I finished the game. It was very easy. Then I came back to this level after about a year of not playing this game. It was hard again.
This was my first encounter with a heart so, I learned the hard way that if you end up bumping into a heart instead of dashing into it, it literally just goes *boioioioing* and you BOUNCE OFF. Beware. This happened to me the first time I made it up there and I wanted to rage quit a game harder than maybe at any point in my adulthood (I'm 37).
I came her to check if there's another method for the very last screen. Turns out I just suck at wall jumping Edit: Omg I did it I literally froze for a minute to stare at the screen
Why is everyone treating the last part as if its ultra omega super duper hard? I mean yeah I guess it wasn't easy for me but only took a couple minutes (not trying to show off just confused)
Ive reached the summit, and now I'm trying to do the B sides. I'm a pretty patient person. When I die I take a deep breath and continue. But the last screen was the hecking bane of my life. You don't die which really annoyed me because I usually take that brief second while respawning to calm down. But you can't get that here. So I was manically mashing the buttons hoping to get up there. I know there are harder levels, but this is the one to be the most frustrating of my game experience so far.
Why is everyone talking about the vertical wall when that was like, the easiest part of the level by far? You just dash up to stall while the walls are gone, then walljump when they're there, even if your timing isn't perfect you can still inch up the walls and keep stalling with the dash
the last big vertical spike "stars" section little help after 2 years, if you go into that "stars" hold Grab Button and opposite arrow /direction ( like you going Right Up hold left after you entered that abyss) you will instantly grab that exit side so you can climb or slide down and stil have dash
Got it. Dash up twice, if you time it right you should just be able to squeeze in 4 wall jumps, making it easy to just dash up twice again and collect the heart

Tip for the last room: hold the grab button and spam the jump button when the wall is there. Use the dash to stay in the air when the walls are gone.
My hands hurt.
How do you make the diagonal dash reliably at 0:43? I keep hyper dashing to the right or going down instead
hold down before pressing right and dash
@@emperortgp2424 thanks! I realized I was also pressing jump instead of dash only lol
@@the1337fleet you're welcome my guy 👍
How did you get that extra boost at 1:02 right when that part of the level started?
You have to jump the exact moment you leave the portal ( or whatever you call it) then dash upwards.
@@russianhero1888 absolute Chad, thank you kind sir
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who struggled on the last vertical wall
Btw in the big climb you can skip first 2 steps by directly dashing over them in 45 degree angle.
This was my first encounter with a heart so, I learned the hard way that if you end up bumping into a heart instead of dashing into it, it literally just goes *boioioioing* and you BOUNCE OFF. Beware. This happened to me the first time I made it up there and I wanted to rage quit a game harder than maybe at any point in my adulthood (I'm 37).
for the vertical wall. Don't try to jump left or right, just spam jump, you character will jump automatically, it is way faster.
This B-Side surprisingly was much easier than the first chapters B-Side.
2:58 anyone know the name of that song? please???? im looking everywhere for it
Last Screen was easy but the one before that...
4:07:50 and 1650 Deaths. Do i need to say more?
878 deaths. I didn't count hours but were like 3 with some rests. God, I love and hate this so much.
I came her to check if there's another method for the very last screen. Turns out I just suck at wall jumping
Edit: Omg I did it I literally froze for a minute to stare at the screen
Incredible job and an incredible game.
Why is everyone treating the last part as if its ultra omega super duper hard? I mean yeah I guess it wasn't easy for me but only took a couple minutes (not trying to show off just confused)
the second to last screen (2:34) is giving me so much trouble 😭 i haven’t mastered the jumping out of the dream blocks thing yet and keep falling
The end screen only took like 3 minutes for me. It’s not that hard, what are you guys on about?
I was going crazy in the last screen
Thank you
Honestly I just gave up and assist moded my way out of the last one
Why is everyone talking about the vertical wall when that was like, the easiest part of the level by far? You just dash up to stall while the walls are gone, then walljump when they're there, even if your timing isn't perfect you can still inch up the walls and keep stalling with the dash
I completed both the C-Side and the C-Side's golden strawberry with much less time and fewer deaths than it took to get this golden strawberry lol
this is going to be the end of me why is this so hard
the last big vertical spike "stars" section
little help after 2 years, if you go into that "stars" hold Grab Button and opposite arrow /direction ( like you going Right Up hold left after you entered that abyss) you will instantly grab that exit side so you can climb or slide down and stil have dash
Got it. Dash up twice, if you time it right you should just be able to squeeze in 4 wall jumps, making it easy to just dash up twice again and collect the heart
I just came here to relieve myself and tell you all that after 2,5 hours and 1062 later, I finally beat this fucking Side B.
The key is only using your first boost to get the first diamond, and then not using it again until after the second one
The game designers were probably laughing their asses off when designing that last screen
I am gonna break my keyboard on that last vertical climb
