I love the idea of the nagas. One of the biggest problems of the race was You either get someway to turn the scalling into permanent or add some growth or you could end up way behind. This focus keep the spell focus, while making it better at tempo
So true. It honestly felt like either you get crooner early or you roll into a bunch of tier 6 nagas late. Now you can just play Nagas from turn one :)
I’m excited to try the new season since there are so many changes. Season 9 feels fresh and revamped so I’m not sure what to expect. I am also very very excited to see new Heretic videos 🙌🏽 🎉
We really needed another tribe that could work with end of turn effects. It was mainly Quilboar forever (because no one was using Lightfang back in the day) and sometimes maybe Undead. Dragons getting several end of turn effects could be a strong new direction for them, but we will have to see. I do hope it works out though because I enjoy end of turn effects and I love dragons.
kalecgos hunter looks pretty nice now also it would make sense if the reason they added nightbane back without changing it is if they took kt out of undead
Tbh thinking of it that way i can almost guarantee that is exactly what they did, just makes wayy too much sense. But then again wouldn't be the first time they don't do something that makes alot of sense lol
Two tribes that have grown on me: Nagas and Dragons. Let’s see what Blizzard is trying to do with them. But an Eternal as a BG hero? From BOOMSDAY?? Fascinated by his inclusion but I wonder what shenanigans he’ll enable. Othaar seems alright. Simplistic idea, but the potential to stack for a high-cost Tavern spell down the line sounds quite nice. Shell Whistler is great cycle. Will miss it dearly for Brann-inclusive menagerie builds. DEEP BLUE NOOOO! ;-; Same goes for Siren and Athissa. Great spell-centric Naga, even if the builds never really competed with the almighty Demon and Quillboar boards of the trinket meta. I feel nothing for Orgozoa. At least it synergized with that one Spellcraft trinket. Good riddance, Slitherspear! Won’t be missing you! (until you get buffed to work with all spells cast) SILIVAZ YAY! My arms are open :) Ominous Seer looks like an awesome and simple cycle card for APM Tavern spell builds. Having two tribes is great too! THAW-muh-tur-jist! Buy em, play em, play a bunch of spells to make em into a new tier 2 Crooner! The improvement condition sounds like it’s creating an overhaul to the Naga playstyle. Arcane Cannoneer as a budget Obsidian Ravager without cleave is a nice tier 4 minion. But… does the damage improve whether or not the Cannoneer is on your board? We’ll have to see. Darkcrest Strategist? HELLO?? Naga printing that synergizes with the tribe??? Yes please! Showy Cyclist is… interesting. This should DEFINITELY improve regardless of where it is during the game. Otherwise, it’s gonna be really pitiful in my opinion. If Macaw is still in with Titus, this could definitely shake up some games. Groundbreaker is bringing APM Naga to the table, and I’m here for it. This will be SUPER FUN to mess around with. Might be ever so slightly better in Duos given the fact that Mirror Monster and Jumping Jack still exist. Glim Guardian sucked. If you don’t go first, it gets walloped too quick. Twilight Emissary also does nothing interesting. Roaring Rallier also felt dull since Combat Dragons fell off pretty hard in the Trinket meta. GARGOYLE NOOOO! ;-; Amber Guardian and Disco Shuffler too. Are Combat Dragons gone? Yu’lon is… meh. Also, bye Hoarding Hatespawn. Electric Synthesizer just said “Why not both?” and filled me with joy. Dual utility! Can stay on board, can cycle… great for both Combat and Battlecry Dragons. Welcome back, Razorgore. Go meet Drakkari and have some fun :) Nether Drake used to be boring. This change looks exciting. Nightbane? What are you doing here??? I guess Dragons really are back this coming season. Maybe it will get some counterplay. Nadina’s return is exciting! Wonder where she’s been for the past couple of years. Kalecgos buff! REJOICE! Hopefully this can be… good? I love Kalecgos APM builds with all my heart, I want them to be at least a little bit good for once. Reverber Drake looks like it was flavored for Festival of Legends, but got too addicted to Dance Dance Revolution to come to the tavern in time. It looks quite good, though… and it’s a BATTLECRY! I love it! Efficient Engineer is fun. The very specific exclusion of Murk-Eye is absolutely hilarious, but definitely a necessity. Good for Dragons, and really awesome as a cycle tool for just about any APM build with an end of turn effect! I like these changes. I personally hope we can see these new minion loadouts with a return to Quests!
So the new tavern spell hero power is cost zero. The way I read it continuously stacks the discount, so if you start doing it early then by the time you get to expensive tavern spells you’ll get one free. At least if I’m looking at it right.
Dragons are hard to judge, back when thymey had the windfury dragon glim guardian and roaring rallier felt so bad. Wish they would bring back the thousandth paperdrake
Ooo that is good. I instantly knew how to say it. People love when I hack up names, so I often try to say them live the first time. The perfectionist in me wants to edit all the rough parts out, but I usually run out of time, and enjoy the jank a bit.
Dragon went from start of battle to a mix of end of the turn and battlecry. I like this new idea

Kalecgos getting +1/2 makes sense since it's always felt easier to get attack
As always, mad props on showing the old versions of cards, very helpful

Thanks for the coverage

Really hyped for the new Nagas and dragons!
It kind of looks like dragons got a huge buff, but I guess we'll find out what everything else gets and when the new season starts.

NEW NAGAS WOOOOO
So basically spell craft as a buffing method is dead and Naga go all in on tavern spells. I love that change,
Good job about dragons...i hope they be better with these upgrades!!

Can’t wait for the Naga breakdown for next season. They’ve been one of my favorite tribes.
Dragons are hard to judge, back when thymey had the windfury dragon glim guardian and roaring rallier felt so bad. Wish they would bring back the thousandth paperdrake
Naga was only deep blue spam to win, now we have some real builds that's not one dimensional, and more creative.
Ominous seer with a coin in the shop is just like the old tier 1 shell collector, just not as good late game
well shhhhi...eee will do the job...
Seeing nightbane on tier 5 makes me question how it was ever a tier 4 minion
No matter what tier it was on it was always S-Tier!
Woooooooo
Why is that naga also a demon
Dual Tribe card. It will be in all Demon/Naga games even if only one of the tribes is present.
Thaumaturge rhymes with demiurge, then you add "ist"
