To me, he was the first modern day advanced pro I had ever seen. I admired the likes of Barnes, Gazza, Platini, Socrates, Mattheus, Gullit etc but this boy was something very new. Like an upgraded weapon.

@@billagap3213 I remember when he came to the Netherlands at age 17 to play for PSV. Even as a youngster he was more or less the best striker of the Dutch competition:) He had bad luck that Ajax was literally the best team in the world in 1995 and won EVERY title available in football that year.
I will NEVER forget that season:) it was the craziest rivalry and the top players from Ajax and PSV went on and became some of the best players in the world.

R9 had it all as a complete striker. His speed, agility, pace, technique, skills, power, and both equally good feet. He can shoot wherever he at. He was a monster that God needed to nerf R9 via injury.
Pre-injury R9 was just unplayable.
Unfortunately we couldn't witness what R9 might become at his prime. His career was just too short due to injuries at such a young age.

They were young and a little frail for the Dutch Eredivisie competition.
The rumour back in the day was that they shot them youngster's up with steroids to strenghten them.
Many players from Ajax and PSV around that time got problems with their knees.
Ronaldo and Kluivert were no exeptions, it shortened their careers by a lot.
