With 7 miles of beach, interesting landmarks and a large holiday park.
It often gets slated in the press as being one of the worst places to visit. We take a wander along the beach, take a look at the Lighthouse and see what it has to offer.

Wonderful beach for a stroll...beautiful indeed. Bonus with a lighthouse! And if sand isn't your thing, just head up to the breakwater. But no taking a long walk off a short pier...okay! A most wonderful wander around!! You both now have a great weekend!

Kim & Watto, thank you both for a wonderful explore around Burnham on Sea, an hours drive is pretty awesome to hit the beaches to be fair. What a lovely little lighthouse, enjoyed listening to the history surrounding it, gorgeous! Cute garden there with the sundial! Love the 'wonky' church, so quaint, that little door was epically small haha! But agree with you on the charming side of it, nice to see these buildings still existing and of course being documented by you! Enjoyed this very much Watto, thank you for sharing!

I used to work with a bloke who went to Burnham on Sea every year for his summer holidays and used to love it there. The beach looks amazing, really expansive and really quiet as well, but I bet it is always not as quiet as that. Great looking church, despite the leaning and real good you could get inside to see it as well. I think the only place we have visited in Somerset is Glastonbury and always on the way back from Dorset, so Burnham seems to have passed us by, cheers Alan
Hmm not sure I would go there every year. But it is a proper little seaside town. Not particularly pretty but nice in its own way. Not been to Glastonbury ourselves so really should at some point. It's been a while since I've been down to the seaside for a mooch but never been here. It sure looks worth an explore. That unique old lighthouse reminded me of a big firework. Best not set it off as it's a listed building. The church looked fabulous and the leaning tower adds to it. It sure was a great weather day to be beside the sea side 🙂

haha, I am learning the UK has the quite gap, tide range between high and low.
Lovely garden, charming shops/cafes, the most I likes is the wooden old lighthouse. I don't believe it still operates while many old lighthouses are switching to automated.

Yes Phil. We used to go regularly for days out. So was nice to have a proper explore. The lighthouse is amazing. Couldn’t resist the drone for it. Although it was really windy.

Hey Watto, we’ve been thinking of you guys a lot this week, hope you’re bearing up!!! Sorry for just getting to this, crazy busy weekend as always! Another place we’ve not been to. First off, the beach looks amazing, very vast and looks really clean. That lighthouse is unusual but really cool. The beach reminds me a little of Talacre with the dunes, and Talacre has a lighthouse, not a wooden one though. Would love to be sat on that wall now with our fish and chips. Marine Cove looks really pretty. Loving the wonky church. Really pretty inside too…impressive organ there Watto 😂. Rach wants to go on the 2p falls in that arcade! Ah, we do love a British seaside town. 12m high tide, wow….up the Villa haha!!! Really like the harbour, very relaxing. The beach is really impressive. I was going to ask what a ‘gig’ race was, cool. We really enjoyed that Watto and Kim and sending you all our best wishes x
