We cannot fulfil the law… that’s the point, no-one can love to this extent. The Parable reveals the failure of everyone to obey the 10 commandments. Summed up we are lost sinners, we cannot obey the Law, who can love to this extent, no-one… at this point, the hearer will realise they’re lost (That’s the Laws purpose) The characters are fiction.

Hi Aaron,
Just like to chare 2 Kings 17:24.
After the Assyrians destroyed and remove the Israelites of the North, they brought to those lands a group from Babylon to the capital, Samaria and then they forced them to be mixed with the woman on the land and to learn the old law and to worship GOD.
For that reason, the Jews never accepted them as true Israelites.
And that's the reason why they didn't have the full information of the message of the prophets, as you see in John 4:20-22.
