Usui-san, this 1K apartment is the best one yet and VERY doable.
1. Unlike the previous apartment, every little room is nicely separated.
2. Bathroom/toilet/kitchen spaces are of a good size. Plus the coveted TOILET PAPER storage!
3. Spacious loft, could be used for more than sleeping. Maybe a home cinema/gym setup?
4. The ladder could be permanently retired, being put into its anchor slot in the wall. A small set of stairs could be put in, with steps used for storage. 5. Plus the ladder rungs could be used to hang clothes from. Or perhaps storage boxes - just a thought!
6. A bed, desk and plants are very doable in this apartment.
7. You have room for a combined refrigerator/freezer.
8. The shoe closet could be used as extra clothes/towel storage etc!
9. You have your own balcony and the windows let in a lot of light!
You can definitely live here! 😁
You could even just use the loft for storage, as the floor space is enough for your bed, desk and TV stand.
I also love the idea of putting stairs with storage underneath. It would be a fab apartment with that small change. 😊❤
These are really good ideas and I find 18 sqm the absolute minimum size for one person.
I really like this one. The kitchen is separated from the living room which is really good. Decent size bathroom/toilet and the living room being big enough to set up a sofa bed plus a working table and then there's the loft. I would just replace the ladder with those wooden crates that act as storage and stairs at the same time, way better. The big plus is having your own balcony. This one's definitely a really good apartment.

If the rent is within your budget I think this is PERFECT ! I love that it's more than a micro apartment, it actually has space and has been thoughtfully designed to a high standard...it ticks all your boxes and a big plus that the stair ladder to the loft didn't scare you...if you were looking at some of the other micro apartments, they had nowhere else to sleep except to have a loft style bedframe with perhaps your desk underneath, or a futon on the floor...this apartment has actual ROOMS ! 😁
I feel like I could live there myself, balcony, sunny room, space for plants, no toilet/shower in view from the front door, (or next to the kitchen) extra furniture and even toilet paper storage 😄

Plus the kitchenette looks more like a proper kitchen. I like where the toilet has been positioned as well. Compared to his micro apartment this looks like a Mansion.

Honestly this is really doable. The loft space is decent size with enough head room you can sleep or use that space for something else. Living area is a good size and I like how there is a door separating the kitchen area from the living room. If I lived in Japan I could see myself in this apartment 😊

I like this one, very bright. I think the shoe storage is also more toilet paper storage 😅 and the price is not bad

At this point for me, deciding on this apartment would just come down to its location - I don't have any complaints about this "macro" apartment😛. Very spacious, nice balcony, and nice price
Love this apartment❤❤❤ not only it's larger than the others, living space is separate too. Bathtub, shower, sun shining through the large sliding door instantly lifts the mood. Nice video Usui-san❤❤❤
Only two changes I would make:
-The kitchen should have a microwave mounted under the upper cabinets. For an apartment with a kitchen that small and difficult to cook in, there's no reason not to have a small microwave included (and mounted out of the way so it doesn't take up counter space) to make meal prep easier.
-The loft could have been extended about another two feet (60cm for non-Americans) without impacting the living area at all. For an apartment this small, that's just a waste of potentially usable space.
Aside from that, for $540 USD a month I would absolutely live here
The matter of a microwave is an easy problem to solve. Very often in small apartments in Japan, the refrigerator is a smaller size and there will be space for a microwave on top of it.

Very nice place. I love the soft color wall. There is a place for all furniture.
This one is the very best and at a good price! First of all the lay out, the storage, the ability to add refrigerator, the separate rooms, toilet paper storage 🎉🎉🎉 there could be a tension rod above the washing machine to hang clothing to dry. I would not use the large shelving unit in the apt, Rather, purchase a wardrobe to store all my clothing, extra linens, Spiderman things? 🕸🕸🕸 That way it would blend seamlessly with the wall not exposing anything inside. I LOVE your idea of the loft as a media room. More plants in the balcony would be wonderful. Also, love the privacy yet sunshine that window and balcony will bring! PLEASE GET THIS ONE!!!!!!

I like it. I don't even mind the ladder, even though there is space to put a tiny home staircase, which can still have space for storage or a desk ... I would live here ... 😊
Even if you only have two pairs of shoes, that shoe rack is storage.
Bigger kitchen than the one you have.
Room for a fridge.

Place for a washing machine.
I don't like the bathroom sink in the hallway.
Decent sized shower.
Toilet paper storage.
A living room/bedroom/office on the bottom floor with a loft for storage -- I know you don't like heights. :) Or a bed in the loft and a lot of living space below.
The ladder isn't in the way of anything.
A balcony.
Usui, if you don't take the Toy Story apartment, grab this one. It definitely works!
The sink in the hallway definitely has a bathroom style, but the bathroom has its own sink. It's the top part of the toilet.
This sink in the hallway is like in the trains in Japan, the sink is seperated from the toilt/bathroom if you just want to wash your hands there..
This is bigger than me and my partner's first apartment in downtown Seattle, with or without the loft!
I'd use the loft for storage and where guests could sleep and our bed would be right next to the window so a desk could be right next to the door. If there was a TV mount that could be pulled down, I'd put it on the wall to the loft, but it'd more.likely get put on the wall next to the ladder.
This apartment is amazing! I'd move in myself. It has everything you could ask for. It's sunny, spacious, has a lot of storage and even a tub and balcony.
If you don't want to use the loft daily because of the height, you could put your bed on the main floor and still have a lot of space! Guests can come over and it wouldn't be cramped.
The rent is not nearly as high as I thought. We've seen way worse apartments for the same price.
If I were you I'd take this apartment, I don't think it gets better than this.

If you don't take this one, it will mean that you never searched for a nicer appartment in fact 🙃.
Things that could have been done better :
- putting the basin in the same space as the bathtub. It would have left space for a closet.
- there could be more shelves above the refrigator space.
- the loft space could have been a little larger
- a built-in staircase with storage and a desk instead of the ladder.
But this is laready very good for what seems to be a decent price.
Yeah, splitting the bathroom across three corners of the room doesn't make much sense to me. It would be better if the vanity/basin and the laundry areas were swapped around so that the bathroom sink would be on the same side as the toilet and bath.
Yeah, I hope he takes it and realises that he can still create content without the added "looking for an apartment" context. This one is sooo good. And I'd definitely still keep watching his channel, I looove micro apartments!

I can't believe how affordable it is! I like that wallpaper, a tub is a real selling point - with the toilet even totally seperate, a balcony... You could even consider a couple in this apartment. I would put the bed up in the loft and use the main room as the living room.
This one is really nice , with the little balcon , means you can leave the window open on nice day . The bathroom is really nice and each furniture would find its place. Not so expensive and place for you and Mr Spiderman. Take care both of you.

This is a well thought out apartment. I like where you proposed to put furniture and TV lounge. Pleasantly surprised by the rent. You could be happy there - and the bonus - toilet paper storage 😊!
I think this is perfect and your journey should not continue. It gives you space for everything you need and for a good price.
I really like this one. A door for the toilet and paper storage, a door you can't see through for the bath/shower. Plenty of storage, loft would be storage for me with the bed on the main floor. TV in the loft if you want to climb that ladder (which is not as steep an angle as some you have looked at). The price is comparable to the space. It comes down to location, is it convenient for you? Take care of yourself and enjoy life.
If the location works, this one is good! Extra shelves in the show closet can store food, extra seasonal clothing, cleaning supplies, and other everyday clutter. Space in front of the washer for a hamper. Small role away storage if needed. The loft ladder has a better, sturdy angle, so sleeping up there would be doable. I would go with the bed on the bottom floor, because I get up allot at night, LOL. The table cannot go under the ladder. Plenty of room at ens of bed facing wall or balcony with room to spare for the plant. Loft is good for TV/gaming/reading nook. And it has a separate sink for hygiene!
Out of all the places that you have previewed, I like this one the most! The space is amazing. Even if you would not use the loft as a bedroom, you could use it for storage or a movie room if needed. I even thought the rent was reasonable.
I smiled at the toilet paper storage. I agree, I'd want to put most things on the main floor and just use the loft for hobbies and entertainment. I can't imagine sleeping up there and having to come down half asleep in the middle of the night. I like the layout, that it has a tub and even a little prep space on the kitchen counter between the sink and the cook top. Somewhere you can chop vegetables. I really like this one, and the price is the same as others that are smaller.
Finally a normal space. It's so nice a place.

I actually like this one. There is a spot for the refrigerate. You have the pull out drawers for some snacks. You have toilet paper storage too! I like the fact you can get comfortable in the loft and watch tv. This one you can actually fit all of your things. A house plant is a nice touch. I hope you like this one too. 😊

This one is my favourite so far ❤. The layout is perfect and I would love to live here myself. The zoning of the kitchen and bathroom facilities works very well. I think there would also be room to have a rail over the washing machine to hang things. Good toilet roll storage. Plenty of storage under the ladder and can fit a desk in perfectly. I think though I would have the bed in the loft area, so that I could have a small table and a sofa downstairs. I could image having the doors to the balcony open, sitting on a sofa with a cold drink and enjoying the sun and light.
This is the first place I could actually see myself living in. And the rent is not even that high compared to the other places. Is this area so far out or why is it so reasonable?

Eu gostei dele! Já vimos micro apartamentos com esse valor entre seus vídeos, então mesmo sendo o dobro do que você paga no atual, esse é um achado em comparação ao que oferece! Tem espaço de armazenamento suficiente e parece que houve um planejamento no mobiliário, não tendo nada absurdo como banheiro sem paredes ou cantos minúsculos. Eu colocaria a mesa no local que colocou a panta e teria uma mesinha portátil para trabalhar na varanda também. Seria interessante um vídeo com seus critérios para decisão, como valor máximo, tamanho mínimo, localização de preferência e tudo mais, pois só sabemos que você precisa de espaço para guardar o papel higiênico. E sim, eu comemoro junto quando tem local para ele, fico sempre na expectativa que tenha 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Best apartment so far. I like the separation of the kitchen/bathroom/toilet area from the living/bedroom area. Price is good. You got your toilet paper storage area. Lots of storage, lots of space. Also a bonus balcony and loft. Should be considered.

I really like this apartment! There's plenty of storage space, including room for a large refrigerator. The bathroom and toilet are spacious, and there's even storage for toilet paper! 🥳Having a balcony is definitely a plus!
However, that wooden shelf in the room - I believe the space can be used more effectively and practically 🤔
As for the loft - I think your idea of arranging furniture is a great one! I'd also prefer using the loft as a small cinema, with the bed downstairs, so you don't have to climb the ladder so often 😅😵💫
Мне кажется, что полка не прибита к стене и еë можно передвинуть в другое место, а под ней есть место для письменного стола. Получится прекрасное рабочее место. А на её место разместить, например, обеденную зону.
You should move to this apartment right away😂. You could cook simple meals here and you have a washbasin. If the open shelf in the living room could be replaced by a wardrobe, that would be perfect.
this apartment is one of the best. you have enough space and it have a balcony and a loft. i think its the perfect apartment. i think your bed will fit in this apartment 😆

I really like this one! Much more space, big window, seems bright an friendly, little Balkony for clothes to dry, even the loft is nice, enough space for your bed. If you dont rent it, I will! 😆 (But no, it is too expensive for me 😒)
This is the best you have taken me to. I am a mom and feel like you are one of my kids out looking for new place. You will have sun and plenty of room here, and I can sleep at nights knowing you have a nice place at a good price.

Este apartamento es por mucho el mejor que has subido...tal cual mencionas, no es micro y en mi caso allí no me daría claustrofobia 😅...las áreas están separadas y hay espacio para un refri más grande...yo dormiría en el loft y pondría un sofá cama para visitas en la parte de abajo 😃

As expected from the photos, I like it a lot !!!😊 It has a lot of space, big enough living room and it's so bright and pretty!! The balcony is a plus for sure!!
Also the rent is good!!! You have visited smaller apartments and more expensive than this one.
Whoever built this apartment really likes sinks! You get 3 sinks (including the one on the back of the toilet)! If you have guests over you can all wash your hands at the same time 🤣
Question: I notice you didn't show us the balcony, Usui-san. Did you already have too much fear of heights stress from climbing the loft ladder?
Overall this is a pretty nice little apartment, I think.
Compared to the other apartments we saw, this is gigantic.
Not so much more space but a way better floor plan then most of them.
I like this apartment very much and I thought it would be more expencive.
I’m sure the rent and the loft is a “no”. But you gotta admit that there is plenty of space and storage for everything that you have. The loft doesn’t even have to be used much except for storage. I do hope you find a place that has what you want/need at your budget. It’s fun going with you to all of these “interesting” small apartments. 👍
I love these kinds of appartments. You have space to move, or even have a couple of friends over, but it’s small.
9 out of 10. (20 minutes is a bit much; green wallpaper, nothing special taps, uncleanable overhead window, no aeration in the cooking space)
This small apartment certainly is nicer than all the micro apartments. Great price point as well. The shoe storage near the entrance can be both shoe storage and folded laundry/extra towels, etc.
The door between kitchen/entry and the living room makes a huge difference in how large and discrete the space feels (plus, it's just larger than we're used to seeing already).
One of the few apartments which deserve a serious consideration.

Of all the apartments you have looked at that I have seen, this is the best. I realize it is the most expensive, but not by too much. With the loft, it is almost like a 1 bedroom apartment. And a balcony! If it was me, this is the one I would pick, because there is enough room to be comfortable and not have to be worrying about moving again (for a while). If it were me, I would put my bedroom in the loft, and enjoy a real living room area with a balcony! But what does Spiderman say?

Be still my beating heart-I don’t know how the location or budget work for you, but just on layout this is absolutely the one I would pick.
I have to say that this is one of the nicest and most versatile places. If I had to live in a small place, this is one that could provide enough space and allow the ease of changing things around. Add in a small balcony and this would be a winner.
Best apartment yet! The extra space is so nice. I know you live a very minimalistic life, but it might not be the worst thing to upgrade to a small apartment.
Although, I have to say you have only showed clean, relatively new apartments. I did find other youtube videos showing very cheap micro apartments in Tokyo that were old, with poor upkeep, even with a shared toilet and no shower nor bath. I wasn’t expecting that.

This one is worth it's rent price and it has everything. However, it's double your rent and you don't have too much belongings to fill most of the storage spaces and loft. Your call.

Honestly, I think this is the apartment. You have separate areas so that your sleeping space can be nice and peaceful. You don't even have to use the loft if you don't want to, but you could use it for storage. You have enough room for an arm chair, even, which could become a cozy reading spot. If you put the bed near the balcony door, you could probably even get a bigger desk to spread your documents out on! Do it, Usui! 😁
I think is the best place so far and you can even have houseplants and toilet paper storage!
