I'll have to watch again when the subtitles are up. I like the apartment and it's affordable. The only downside for me is the loft, but I'm afraid of heights. If you don't mind the loft, you might consider this apartment.
This one is actually rather nice. It does possess a few good aspects: 1. Affordable rent. 2. Large loft space, could be used as a storage space, not just for sleeping. Plus the ladder can be moved so it is not obtrusive. 3. Windows letting in a ton of bright sunlight. 4. Important toilet paper storage! 5. No requirement to purchase a refrigerator, there is one included. 6. Great gas cooker included. I think if you got an excellent sofa/bed combination, you would even have room for a decent desk etc!
I would turn the loft into a living room. Single bed down stairs with a drop down desk on the wall next to the bed and possibly drop down desk in the loft as well.
Yay! The subtitles are back! Just wasn't the same without them. :) The loft/ladder alone makes this one a bit too scary! I don't think I would want to be going up and down that thing every day which would really limit the space. Not too great... the search continues? The food looks good. :)
This micro apartment has merit. Sensible rent, lovely kitchen, toilet paper storage. However, the layout only works if you have the loft space as a Study/lounge area and a futon downstairs. Nevertheless it is so much better than many you have visited. Good luck!
I like this one. It has space for a desk and storage, loft has a good ceiling heigt, ladder isn't placed awkwardly, big window with nice view, there's already a fridge and the rent is reasonable. The red kitchen is also a nice eye catcher.
Friend I saw the price, I saw that the loft had a good space, I thought the wooden floor was beautiful, it already comes with a minibar. I think that's the one, there's your place to store toilet paper, and you can put a futon or a lower bed in the loft, you can use the loft as a storage place. You can use a sofa bed underneath. There's a lot of appeal to this one.
Hmmm. Not bad but . . . No shoe rack, really small shower, very high loft but it is spacious with headroom, loft could get brutally hot in the summer because the air conditioner is directly below it and facing the other way. Some things hit Usui’s target but I think there are too many negatives. Keep up the search!
It's fun to daydream about where I would put furniture in the apartments you show us! In this one I would put a table with chairs for my husband and I downstairs, floor futon in loft. We love eating dinner together at home and there is so much space for a table in this apartment.
🎆 Toilet Paper Storage! 🎆 The red color of the kitchen is really nice. This apartment is much better than many that we have seen. It lacks proper a shoe cupboard or closet space but the real problem here is the location of the washing machine area. This makes it difficult to place furniture if you want to sleep in the main room. Although you do not like heights, it might still be possible to make a good office work space in the loft. The rental price is lower than others but I guess that this is because it is quite distant from the more central areas of Tokyo. That pub lunch looked delicious!
Loft would be bedroom with some storage. Living area - computer desk and chair, small table for food preparation and meal, and some storage. However, the fridge has no usable freezer area to keep frozen food.

Since you don't like heights the only thing the loft would be good for is storage. If you used a loft bed you could put a desk underneafh. Price is good and room is sunny but I would keep looking. 😁
The window is huge for that place but I wish the loft space had a sky light. It's not bad really, thankful it's got the bathroom in the apartment. I've seen ones that are smaller in New York that have a shared bathroom. 😮
Can you stand in the loft area? Then I think this is one of the best micro apartment you have visited! Work desk on the ground floor. Also maybe a tall storage cabinet. Only need a microwave and electric kettle for the kitchenette. Bed and low clothes cabinet in the loft. I would be all set!
Usui-san, I would rate this apartment as a maybe. The best part for me was the little kitchen. The red color was a happy choice, and I love the little drying racks over the sinks that some Japanese apartments have. I lived for a while in a really small Japanese apartment, and having a drying rack like that made cleaning up in a teensy kitchen a lot easier.
For the price, it’s a winner. Bed upstairs and work area downstairs. The ladder doesn’t block movement or doorways, as in some of the apartments. Neighborhood seems quiet, which is a plus.
Love your videos! not sure i could ever live in on these kind of apartment but some of them do seem nice and practical. Those with loft bed space on a first instance appear to be cool, however just like these ladder exemplify what if i trip in the middle of the night going to bathroom half sleep 😳, I mean who is picking me up if i do😅 Anyway the red kitchen looks great ☺️ Good luck in your search and greetings from central Mexico 😊😊

It's a cute little apartment but a downside is that if you suffer any injury or mobility issues on any limb, getting in and out of the loft would be dangerous. Your bed and clothes would be upstairs in a place you can't reach safely when injured. I love the shower and toilet room set up - being separate is great!
You always plan to have a full-size bed in your apartment, but what if you tried a pull-out sofa or sleeper chair? If you place a two-seater sofa under a narrow window, opposite the kitchenette you can place a work table, which at night (when the sofa is pulled apart) can be moved to the front door. The loft can be used to store things, because you are afraid of heights!
Usui! I think this one is my favorite one yet. Theres lost of space to customize and room for everything. I would add possibly add a folding chair and table in the 'living room area. Plus a floor to ceiling bookcase with a small closet. In the bookcase I would keep extra appliances plus extra non-perishable food stuffs. Then in the loft, i would use a futon and not a large bed. Save space and the work to bring it up. I would also add a small bookshelves for my books and electronic storage. I would add a desk, but probably something very small.
Not bad! Wish there was a bathtub... But it's OK! Think it's time for a bunk bed situation... With a study beneath and the bed on top. I'll utilize the washing machine area as a "hook" for handbags and scarfs😅the loft is really nice and also cool mini storage area just over the edge of the loft! This is a nice one. If you are afraid of heights, may i recommend not looking at apartments that has a loft in it unless you will use it as storage? Id be worried about you falling down. It does check a lot of your boxes. Do you want a loft? What would you do with it? I wouldvwant to stay closer to where everyone is. The extra little cubbie hole was cute. wow this one is really good! i love lofts even tho im scared of heights haha! i would ask the owner to remove the tiny fridge and put a microwave/oven in the spot instead and buy a bigger one person fridge to either stand at the farthest corner in front of the washing machine, utilize the space above it as a floating wardrobe if there isnt enough space in the loft, desk infront of the window and bam, cozy and just enough!
I thought this apartment looked quite big but it turned out to be very small. It was good to see a handrail at the top of the ladder to help the tenant step on or off but it was very steep.
One of my favourite so far. Upstairs Japanese sleeping corner with tatami and futon. In the living room is enough space for a table and maybe a small desk. Apartment is sunny. I will rent it immediately 👍.

We have a hole In The Wall in my state Maryland. Usui, believe it or not I like this one. I still do not like the bathroom near the entrance or a ladder to climb up to the bedroom. Somehow though, I can see potential in using that space. I like the red in the kitchenette. I love red and white kitchens. Yep! I can see a lot in that apartment.
Got to stay in two different micro apartments when I was doing a 2 month study abroad in japan last summer. The first one was a bit bigger then the one in the video! Which was really nice. It had a small clothes washer, Toilet room was probably twice the depth so you can sit properly. Shower had a separate standing space, small sink, as well as a standing thigh height tub so water didn't get everywhere. And it also had a room drying function that dried the shower out and a clothes line so you can dry your clothes there! Kitchen had a two burner with sink combo, small counter space, mini fridge underneath. It also had a loft. The second one was JUST like the one in the video, I couldn't even close the bathroom door once I was inside, but the shower was probably a little over half the size bigger than the one in the video. And no fridge or Laundry. Loft as well. In both cases climbing up the loft gets old fast. But I'd pick the 1st one in a heartbeat if I was living somewhat long term. I really wish we didn't have such stupid zoning laws here in the States. We could use more of these style of apartments for younger/ single people which just need cheap living and place to sleep.
👋, this micro is nice. Definitely the loft gives you that extra space you need for storage, sleep or work. For me is better to work upstairs and sleep downstairs but a futon or folding bed is better downstairs. The rent isn’t bad.
I love the red kitchenette... It's a nice pop of color! The loft is nice. To use as a bedroom (using a futon) or for storage. These Micro's are a nice concept. It would be nice if they were designed to hold a normal sized bed!!
Once again, this one has some nice features that I could make work, but as usual, the loft makes this a no-go. Thanks for another video Usui, hopefully the subtitles not working gets fixed soon.
This is great if you can use the loft for sleep. The ladder is not in an obtrusive place. I like the "extra" storage above the kitchenette. Comes with a starter fridge :D
I've always wondered where the hand soap would go in the toilet room when there's a sink on the toilet and I'm glad to see a design with a place for the hand soap

Nice and the loft space is big. But the ladder is always so scary. The bed is better on the loft space and downstairs the deskplace. Kitchen and bad/toilet is good. I think is good.
Love the food joint/bar with REM (everybody hurts) in the background. No subtitles but it didn't pose any problem as your videos are always treat to the eyes, Usui-san❤❤❤ However, this very odd sized apartment with high loft requires a futon, not bed. Definitely not for everyone, probably more suitable for Tarzan? 😊
Usui, thank you for always taking one for the team when it comes to climbing up the ladder to the loft spaces. I like this apartment it has a good flow. Sure not a lot of storage space, but if you are a minimalist then this place is for you! What a lot of people don't think about is, for the most part, the apartment dweller is typically out of their apartment by 8 am and not back home until about 7 pm or 8 pm at night. Unless it's a night to go out with friends or work mates. One is not always cooped up in their apartment. It works the same way when you visit Japan, you don't travel to that country to sit in a hotel room? There are plenty of things to see in do there!!
I liked this apartment, there's a good shelf of toilet paper and everything. And the good thing about the stairs being removable is having the floor free on cleaning days. I would put ferns in that odd shaped space near the loft 😊
Hi Usui! N.30 looks nice. There is something more traditional (the kitchenette) but better organised. The loft and the living room are wide. If you feel like climbing you can sleep upstairs.... if not, a folded bed would be a nice solution. Bye everybody from Italy😊
Keep looking, I know you dont like walking up the stair loft because you're a deep sleeper so it may be harder for you get down or fell down the stairs.Thumbs up for toilet, kitchen and living space!
I loved the bright, clean lines of the apartment. I did not even mind the red in the kitchen area. However, knowing how you feel about heights, I can see that loft area possibly being a deal breaker for you.🙂
No problems. I think this apartment is kind of nice. You will have more living space downstairs. You can even add some kind of reading chair if you want. If it’s affordable for you, I actually think this one is a good option. Have a great weekend!
I like this place, it is bright and it is really good price. I know that you are frightened of heights but I would be tempted to get a futon and use the loft purely as a sleeping area and maybe get a projector and have a dual purpose space to sit or lie and watch movies. The main area could be just a living and dining area and you could have your desk and maybe buy a chair and footstool to make a reading area, I am sure this would mean you also have some small shelves to display books and figurines.
To me, this one is okay for 1 young and able person. The loft space may be customized for sleeping only: a mattress wall to wall, maybe some books and some flowers in pots on this strange loft appendix. The lower level can fit a washing machine, a desk/table and a chair, with some options to put a sleeping bag or folding bed in case of a friend sleeping over or some sickness of the one who lives in there, that prevents from climbing up and down. Otherwise, nice zoning for rest and work areas, nice price, okay area. If the one who will live there is not too tall, it may work even better.
At last, the captions are working! 🥳 It felt so weird to watch without your commentary 😅 Character development is happening … Usui is conquering his fear of heights 😱 I think a loft space can work as a “bedroom” for you, but I think it has to be with good stairs like from episode 9 … otherwise one day your foot is going to trip on the ladder 💀
This place is a few livable from what you was showing. Loft is real loft and you can not only sleep there, but also storage some stuf, especially on that two construction blocks. It has a ferie and tons of space downstairs, so you can put a table and even a sofa! Do not know anything about this location, but rent is affordable.
I will say the loft was one of the better ones we’ve seen. It actually looked like you could stand up there? If not, at least there weren’t oddly angled ceilings to deal with. A little storage in the kitchen, and even toilet paper storage! 🎉 Still, for some reason, I’m not feeling this one. Not sure why. Nice British pub you found there. Food looked yummy! 😁

I like this one. I would use the high-rise room to store clothes and utensils because in my case I don't love heights. The price is good.

wow this one is really good! i love lofts even tho im scared of heights haha! i would ask the owner to remove the tiny fridge and put a microwave/oven in the spot instead and buy a bigger one person fridge to either stand at the farthest corner in front of the washing machine, utilize the space above it as a floating wardrobe if there isnt enough space in the loft, desk infront of the window and bam, cozy and just enough!

I like this one. Put a bean bag, a TV, and a PC or PS5 on the loft and have a nice entertainment space.
I thought this apartment looked quite big but it turned out to be very small. It was good to see a handrail at the top of the ladder to help the tenant step on or off but it was very steep.

One of my favourite so far. Upstairs Japanese sleeping corner with tatami and futon. In the living room is enough space for a table and maybe a small desk. Apartment is sunny. I will rent it immediately 👍.
I’d have a futon in living area. Use the loft for storage.
no Turkish subtitles 😭 there is a toilet paper storage area 🥳 toilet and bathroom are separate 👍🏻 there is no bathtub in the bathroom but it is manageable 👍🏻 there is enough storage space in the kitchen and there is a mini refrigerator 🥳👍🏻 a washing machine and a desk can be placed downstairs 👍🏻 bedroom It's on the top floor and it's very big, but Usui-san is afraid of heights 🤯🤯 in short, it's a cheap and beautiful house👍🏻👍🏻

Usui, believe it or not I like this one. I still do not like the bathroom near the entrance or a ladder to climb up to the bedroom. Somehow though, I can see potential in using that space. I like the red in the kitchenette. I love red and white kitchens. Yep! I can see a lot in that apartment.
Got to stay in two different micro apartments when I was doing a 2 month study abroad in japan last summer. The first one was a bit bigger then the one in the video! Which was really nice. It had a small clothes washer, Toilet room was probably twice the depth so you can sit properly. Shower had a separate standing space, small sink, as well as a standing thigh height tub so water didn't get everywhere. And it also had a room drying function that dried the shower out and a clothes line so you can dry your clothes there! Kitchen had a two burner with sink combo, small counter space, mini fridge underneath. It also had a loft.
The second one was JUST like the one in the video, I couldn't even close the bathroom door once I was inside, but the shower was probably a little over half the size bigger than the one in the video. And no fridge or Laundry. Loft as well. In both cases climbing up the loft gets old fast. But I'd pick the 1st one in a heartbeat if I was living somewhat long term. I really wish we didn't have such stupid zoning laws here in the States. We could use more of these style of apartments for younger/ single people which just need cheap living and place to sleep.
Spidey red kitchen, TP storage, huge loft for a bed, space for your washer and plenty of room for a desk or a couch!
This one, so far, is my favorite. I like the lay out and the second floor convenience. Just have to get a little creative with furniture placement.
👋, this micro is nice. Definitely the loft gives you that extra space you need for storage, sleep or work. For me is better to work upstairs and sleep downstairs but a futon or folding bed is better downstairs. The rent isn’t bad.
I love the red kitchenette... It's a nice pop of color! The loft is nice. To use as a bedroom (using a futon) or for storage. These Micro's are a nice concept. It would be nice if they were designed to hold a normal sized bed!!
Once again, this one has some nice features that I could make work, but as usual, the loft makes this a no-go. Thanks for another video Usui, hopefully the subtitles not working gets fixed soon.

This is great if you can use the loft for sleep. The ladder is not in an obtrusive place. I like the "extra" storage above the kitchenette. Comes with a starter fridge :D
I've always wondered where the hand soap would go in the toilet room when there's a sink on the toilet and I'm glad to see a design with a place for the hand soap

Nice and the loft space is big. But the ladder is always so scary. The bed is better on the loft space and downstairs the deskplace. Kitchen and bad/toilet is good. I think is good.
Love this one, good use of space and you can put a futon upstairs to sleep instead of a full bed.
Love the food joint/bar with REM (everybody hurts) in the background. No subtitles but it didn't pose any problem as your videos are always treat to the eyes, Usui-san❤❤❤ However, this very odd sized apartment with high loft requires a futon, not bed. Definitely not for everyone, probably more suitable for Tarzan? 😊
Usui, thank you for always taking one for the team when it comes to climbing up the ladder to the loft spaces. I like this apartment it has a good flow. Sure not a lot of storage space, but if you are a minimalist then this place is for you! What a lot of people don't think about is, for the most part, the apartment dweller is typically out of their apartment by 8 am and not back home until about 7 pm or 8 pm at night. Unless it's a night to go out with friends or work mates. One is not always cooped up in their apartment. It works the same way when you visit Japan, you don't travel to that country to sit in a hotel room? There are plenty of things to see in do there!!
I liked this apartment, there's a good shelf of toilet paper and everything. And the good thing about the stairs being removable is having the floor free on cleaning days. I would put ferns in that odd shaped space near the loft 😊

Hi Usui! N.30 looks nice. There is something more traditional (the kitchenette) but better organised. The loft and the living room are wide. If you feel like climbing you can sleep upstairs.... if not, a folded bed would be a nice solution.

Keep looking, I know you dont like walking up the stair loft because you're a deep sleeper so it may be harder for you get down or fell down the stairs.Thumbs up for toilet, kitchen and living space!
I loved the bright, clean lines of the apartment. I did not even mind the red in the kitchen area. However, knowing how you feel about heights, I can see that loft area possibly being a deal breaker for you.🙂
No problems. I think this apartment is kind of nice. You will have more living space downstairs. You can even add some kind of reading chair if you want. If it’s affordable for you, I actually think this one is a good option. Have a great weekend!
I like this place, it is bright and it is really good price. I know that you are frightened of heights but I would be tempted to get a futon and use the loft purely as a sleeping area and maybe get a projector and have a dual purpose space to sit or lie and watch movies. The main area could be just a living and dining area and you could have your desk and maybe buy a chair and footstool to make a reading area, I am sure this would mean you also have some small shelves to display books and figurines.
To me, this one is okay for 1 young and able person.
The loft space may be customized for sleeping only: a mattress wall to wall, maybe some books and some flowers in pots on this strange loft appendix.
The lower level can fit a washing machine, a desk/table and a chair, with some options to put a sleeping bag or folding bed in case of a friend sleeping over or some sickness of the one who lives in there, that prevents from climbing up and down.
Otherwise, nice zoning for rest and work areas, nice price, okay area.
If the one who will live there is not too tall, it may work even better.

Character development is happening … Usui is conquering his fear of heights 😱 I think a loft space can work as a “bedroom” for you, but I think it has to be with good stairs like from episode 9 … otherwise one day your foot is going to trip on the ladder 💀
This is just ok still think the best one is the one with the handbasin at door, great kitchenbench and two big windows

This place is a few livable from what you was showing. Loft is real loft and you can not only sleep there, but also storage some stuf, especially on that two construction blocks. It has a ferie and tons of space downstairs, so you can put a table and even a sofa! Do not know anything about this location, but rent is affordable.
I do like this one. I wouldn't feel claustrophobic in the loft since you can stand up in it. And its affordable.
It's lovely, and I'm a little obsessed with the red kitchenette. But that feels like an awfully long ladder. 😵💫
I will say the loft was one of the better ones we’ve seen. It actually looked like you could stand up there? If not, at least there weren’t oddly angled ceilings to deal with. A little storage in the kitchen, and even toilet paper storage! 🎉
