You don't need a new Zippo.
The wick should be the same height as the chimney. If not, pull it out with pliers.

I think most popular you tubers are purposefully adding unnecessary info to their vids to extend watch time. It has nothing to do with them being unable to explain properly.

Whenever I'm teaching kids about fire, I show them this trick and tell them: "If you ever find a lighter, you have to give it to an adult because a flame sometimes has a mind of its own, and it could burn you. With many years of practice, I've learned to control the flame, but sometimes even I get hurt by it."
I never tell kids not to play with lighters, just teach them to wonder and be curious in the presence of an adult who can guide them.
That's a cool use of this.
pretty hard to remove the big flame unless you're a little low on gas, for me at least. it just starts to burn my fingers haha

Simple. Yet fascinating
Fun Fact: for those who dont know, you can use the upper cover of the zippo to get the fluid bottle's white mouth erected.
You can use zippos cover for anything
I always take the flame away, but it just won't come back. I just put out the lighter.
The wick might be too thin. You could try fraying it a bit by rubbing it between your fingers. This will make it easier to trap the flame. If that doesn't work, could try it with a new wick.

Sooo i can Just "pinch" off the Flame?
Is there a Trick to it or really Just going across it?
Move hand so flame is between forefinger and thumb, touch fingers together, pull back so flame goes right where fingers connect. Practice till you get the speed right. Make sure to let it cool off after a few tries.
