Travel tourism in Hornsea suffered significantly after the line closed , absolutely criminal what they did , imagine how significant this line would be today.
Absolutely.
My grandfather, nana and my father lived in a bungalow in Hornsea that they had bought outright. When the line closed my grandfather could not get to work at the aircraft factory in Brough where he worked. Also the bungalow they live in plummeted in value and would not sell as Hornsea became so isolated. Blackburn aircraft quickly made houses for its workers and my grandparents and father had to relocate to Brough into a rented company home and they lost all their capitol on the home in Hornsea.
Really enjoyed this one Andy. The music was paired perfectly with the video, and just enough captioning on the points of interest. Well done!
Many thanks Jeff :)
Excellent , you've nailed it with a very fitting ending Andy !
Glad you enjoyed it Anthony, thank you very much :)
Brilliant drone video Andy. It's been a brilliant series throughout. 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it Anthony, it was a pleasure to document.
A beautiful video.
Thank you very much!
A excellent ending to a great series many thanks for the time and effort
Thank you :)
Awesome footage, nice one Andy👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Fantastic footage, Andy. Makes you fall in love with the countryside.
Cheers.
It sure does :) I’ve always been connected
Excellent, interesting to see how much standing water there was in the fields, Holderness boulder clay. Agree with other comments about content and music, just perfect,
Best Regards,
PMh
Thank you very much Phillip, it sure has been a nice place to film.
Thank you for breathtaking drone video. Not the same as your personal one, but I guess its a question of time spent. See you on the next, Andy. Cheers mate! 😊
Thanks Martin, it would be interesting to see how many hours we spent filming and editing these documentary series. Ive never calculated it but it would be roughly 300 for the Hull to Hornsea.
Many thx, great series, loved the final drone coverage. Probally not the top of yout list but similar drove coverage of the Hull-Barnsley would juist round that series off as well.
Hello Yorkie, I’ll certainly do that at some point :)
Absolutely stunning footage Andy! 😊👍 The atmospheric music is bang on as well. Really enjoyed the video.
Great Feedback, Thank You
Great lots of effort I imagine it takes to make these videos.
At ellerby I thought you might have spun the drone an took view of the HAA battery as its 1 mile from the station..
And have you looked into the anti tank blocks at goxhill/Hatfield at all. As I'd be intrested in that..
Hello there, we will likely do a separate video on the HAA site at some point :)
