For what it's worth, I am the daughter of a home ec teacher and didn't learn how to buy clothes until I'd moved halfway across the country. I've been involved in the SCA and as a royal courtier at the Patterson RenFaires. I know every form of flat patterning there is, including by guess, by golly, and a sacrifice to the sewing goddesses. However, this September my husband found a dressmaker's mannequin in my size and I have been Learning. Oh, how I have learned. In my 66th year, I have soaked up so very much. You make it look so easy! I can barely sew a straight line, and I can't use a sewing machine to save my life lol. I know it takes a lot of practice, but you have a talent and a natural eye for it too.

The short simple style of the dress shape itself just reminded me of tinker bell, at the end when the finish results were revealed I could really imagine tink getting a designer dress upgrade to walk a red carpet event in 😍 so beautiful!
