It comes down to reputation. For some cheaper is better, others realize their clothes and the time it takes to find the clothes they like is worth more than trying to save a few bucks. When we opened up our laundromat in Long Beach, we were the expensive one and still are. And we are busier than the cheaper ones. Why? Because quality costs more. We are attended and our machins work. Take a look at the Better Business Bureau reviews for Sudshare (before they changed their name) and you'll see some wild stories of mishaps. Your #1 asset in this business is your reputation. When someone gets burned by a 'sudster', they often do not blame the sudster, they blame Sudshare.
You could also offer this service to beauty salons. They typically go through a lot of towels.
Senior centers, nursing homes, ALF’s usually have laundry attendants available with a full laundry areas.
