You are the epitome of innocence dear , the way you laugh about how you looked older than your age is the bravest part of a woman . Still you are the most beautiful and I really can't stop watching and rewatching your videos and admiring the beauty that lies hidden . Keep up the good work and I am learning a lot !!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omg that’s sweet you think so! While I’ve been told I look older than I am, I have had coworkers think I was an innocent polite angel and when they heard me swore were so taken aback 😂 Thanks so much for watching and for the support.
I have to agree. I came here specifically to calm down my nervous system with your soft-spoken, sweet, gentle voice and demeanor. You speak slowly and carefully, so your videos always give me pause to catch my breath. I see Romantic and Ingenue in you, in a very subtle but distinct and not obvious way. 🩵
I’m loving this series! Your makeup videos are a breath of fresh air between all the “viral” makeup reviews and oversized hauls. I genuinely can’t think of a single beauty guru who has a concept like yours and that tells me you’ll be a big channel one day! Sending lots of love and positive energy!
Aw thank you! That’s really encouraging! I definitely stopped watching beauty UA-cam regularly when so much of it became about new products, and then TikTok just made everything so fast paced!
I base my whole instagram off this look. Im 35 and this style will forever be “home”. I also combine it with boho witchy looks. Thanks for this lovely video
I really loved this!! It's giving Pixie Hollow beauty but more mature and demure. I truly love it, and this is exactly what I imagined as a soft essence makeup! Definitely gonna try it out in my spare time :D Thank you again for such a beautifully orchestrated video.
I am loving all of your makeup series videos! Instead of young or old, I feel like your natural beauty is timeless. Your coloring is so unique and beautiful.
I love ingenue essence! Because I wear my hair in pigtails a lot, and wear gathered cotton skirts most days, my look fits into this essence quite well. I love a lashy look with a garage door pastel! It’s fun to lean into innocence.
I’ve never really considered Ingenue for myself, but I think I have a touch of the essence. Until my late teens I was always taken for being older as I was tall for my age, but after that I’m always taken for being way younger. I’m always ID’d. They have started to become awkward about it when realising I’ve been of the for over a decade. I have always been a bit awkward about playing the ingenue up in my looks, but I think I’ll test it out more and experiment more with these types of styles mixed with my other essences. I also need to mention that you look a bit like an off-duty Chappell Roan with the hair and blue shadow. Very cute and pretty!
I was carded every time, unless I was visibly pregnant. Now that I am mostly gray, fat, and wrinkled, the Crone energy completely overshadows any remaining Ingenue/Maiden energy.
I’m loving this series and the fragrance pairing at the end. I tried for a long time to figure out my essence and body type (just for fun) and i just have no idea lmao but I still like watching videos on them!
Ooh, excited! Someone told me back when I was a teenager that this was my look. It was certainly true then, maybe still even though my face has changed a bit since.
i recently got carded trying to buy lotto (i'm turning 34 soon). the minimum age for lotto in ontario is 19. i said i didn't have ID but i'm 34 and the clerk refused, saying if you look under 30 they card you (idk if it's a new rule or just the way that gas station works). a customer said i look 18 and i was offended. i want to look under 30, but not like a teen.
@@evangelinemolly Lol and the guy in line said it was a compliment. No one takes teens seriously and also that's kinda a creepy thing to say since he was an adult so I hope he's not into teens 🤮.
Haha yeah I'm terrible at telling ages & we were supposed to card anyone under 30 for alcohol and I genuinely asked a couple of 40+ year olds for their ID 😅 they thought I was trying to be flattering but I was like no ma'am I have no idea what age you are
I always forget what I want to comment when I see Toasty. He's totally ingenue! Wow, adding the lash really made a difference. I don't think your eyes looked close together before at all, but more that the length that mascara gives your lower lashes (mine are the same) is balanced out by adding more oomph with the bit of extra top lash. Of course, we all see something different when we look at our own faces. I think you look so cute with this makeup, and the hair, and the ruffle sleeves! I don't know! I always end these videos thinking you look great. 😂
Oooh I think you’re right about the lash! It was a subtle change that balanced it out. It has been funny reading all the comments and people have such different opinions on which looks are working vs not working!
Omg every time you post a new video from this series I get so excited haha, well any video you post is always a treat to watch tbh. You made me laugh so much when you told the story about people thinking you were your brother's mom or your dad's wife at 12, some people can be so weird😂. In my case, I am always told I look younger (I think it's the round face) and yes it can definitely be a bit annoying at times. Some people think I look sweet, but since my personality has always been kind of more mature and introverted people also tell me that I look serious or elegant, from another time (like from old paintings or a doctor once told me he had dreamt of me because I had a very unique face that reminded him of the virgins you see in religious medals or churches🤔 talk about weird! ), however, I do like to have some whimsical & nostalgic elements in my look that feel more artistic or vintage and that's when I feel most like myself, but definitely nothing too cute or girly so I'm wondering what other essences I might have. Loved the final look as always you look beautiful, and I think the lash you added made it even better, as you say I think we can all play with the essences and adapt them to our personal style and that's really fun too. Thank you for sharing, hope you're well! 💛✨
It sounds like you’re a mix of ingenue and classic, or ingenue and ethereal! I also get that comment about looking like my face belongs in an old painting and that’s super telling of classic or ethereal essence! Sounds like you have a very nice blend. Lol very strange for your doctor to comment on it though. Glad you’re liking the series!! 💕
@@evangelinemolly Thank you, yes I think maybe I do & I was super excited to watch the new videos of these essences! I can totally see that with you too and I love it when you incorporate that inspiration into your makeup, especially the pre-raphaelite look suits you so well! ✨
I absolutely love this eye look on you, before added lash even more, actually. It accentuates your eyeshape wonderfully and makes you look a bit like surreal tragic Colombine.
I agree that this look kind of fights with your features, especially your eye shape. I'm some kind of Gamine in Kibbe's system, I assume that somewhat translates to Kitchener essences. So I like to dabble in an ingenue style occasionally, but not from head to toe. Generally, I like juxtaposition in my style, so if I'm leaning into the edgiest version of my fashion style I would go for a look like this. Or vice versa, if I lean more girly in my fashion, I'd go very dark and dramatic with my makeup. I also love to wear a look like this with black lipstick.
I just filmed Gamine yesterday and yes, a lot of it translates from the Kibbe system and it sounds like you’re well versed in exploring those style elements! I found gamine tricky as well, just too playful for me, but fun nonetheless to try!
I... I think you've convinced me to consider ingenue? I've been told me whole life that I'm just cute and look younger than I am. I thought I was just straight romantic but this is making me go back to the drawing board!
Thank you for the variety of looks you try out, even when you're not sure how much you'll like them. Because of you, I've been going out of my comfort zone doing cool-toned looks- even a taupe/griege shadow with neon green and blue graphic liner! It's inspired by the shirt I bought at a concert I attended a few weeks ago. I never use those colors, and with my hooded eyes, it's very hard to do graphic liner, but I did it! I've been having a lot of fun even if the look isn't always neat or cohesive. When I was younger, people always thought that I was older than I am because of the way I spoke. When I was in 8th grade, they asked what college I went to! I just read a lot and used the big words I learned XD But physically, people always think I'm younger than I am. I also hit so many ingenue traits physically as well as in my decor (very cottagecore) and personal style (very cottagecore during the spring and summer, and somewhat in the fall). "Cute" is the number one physical descriptor I hear about myself, although unsure how much of it translates to "short." It's no wonder I've been cast in so many ingenue parts! Again, thank you for sharing your creativity and gentle energy with us. I hope you and your epitome of ingenue Toasty have a lovely day whenever you read this, and you're able to take the rest and time your spirit needs as well. :)
