Those other gorillas are so mean. They're basically saying that Tarzan, this young child would've been better off DEAD. I guess though, the only time Tarzan gets to prove himself isn't until he's an adult and was able to kill off that Cheetah, and then being promoted to leader. Makes me feel bad though, Tarzan must've had a really tough childhood.
I know right! That's why I went off on a big rant about them. I was so annoyed by what they said and how nothing came of it aside from Tarzan leaving home. They don't get any kind of reprimand and, like you said, it would be YEARS before Tarzan "proved" himself an asset to the Gorillas so they would have thought that for his whole life. Maybe making more snide comments and cutting his self esteem down.
@@Lytaneit seems like they'll always find a way to criticise Tarzan because he's a human. In the TV series the other gorillas doubt his leadership because of Jane thinking his loyalty will always be divided because she's his wife and that a real gorilla leader would choose the family without hesitation which Kala calls them out on.The ringleader was a kerchak similar character named moyo who even Tarzan admitted had some kind of point but came around in the end when Tarzan and Jane helped save them from a snake.
I actually enjoyed Tarzan 2, that why I'm searching the whole YT and internet to find the movie till I saw your review. Well everyone has a different taste in things
I’m glad you did! Everyone has movies they enjoy that others don’t (I love the original Mario Bros. Movie lol) and if this movie makes you happy then it’s a good movie. What about it did you like?
Gotta be honest. While I rewatched the first movie countless times as a child (and even now as a teenager), this one...I watched it once and never again. Because even when I was a kid there just wasn't anything about it that made me want to see it again.
And that’s the problem with many Disney sequels, they don’t try anything big or new or challenging to an audience and become derivative of their own work. Still some parts are great but as a whole they should have done better than this schlock
I don't care if people say Tarzan 2 is good or bad, the best thing that ever came out of this movie is Zugor. He was always and forever been my favorite character in this movie and any movie overall.
It's really not a good movie, I'd say you can skip it and create something new when doing the remake (which I doubt will happen due to rights but we shall see)
That’s fine! There are many things to like in the film and I know as a kid it’s even more entertaining. I’ve seen movies now that I liked as a kid and thought I was crazy hahahaha
@@Lytane Yeah. If I'm gonna be honest with you right now l. I'll just say that there are 2 stuff in this movie that saves them from not liking it. 1. Me not caring about the story and focusing about characters,Animation etc. 2. Uto. The best character in the intire movie in my opinion.
Yeah it's wild some of the voice talent in the films and show. Some weren't that famous at the time either and it's really fun to look back at these things.
@@Lytane I just wished that the sequel would've been after the first film and Tarzan and the others are dealing with the Queen of Opar or some big threat and the sub plot revolves around Jane being pregnant and Tarzan wondering what kind of father he'll be.
I only saw it once in my 29 years of age. Too bad this nice animation (not bad, not masterful either, but superior to the average Disney DTV sequel at the time) was wasted in such an uneventhful story. If only Disney had waited to make a DTV sequel until after the TV show had been wrapped up, they could have made something special to finish the saga just like Aladdin and the King of Thieves. In the commentary for the original film one of the directors said England was a cool place to explore in a sequel; and in the novels Tarzan discovers his father was rich and his last name is Clayton (wich in this canon would make him related to the 1st film's villain and his good-hearted sister, setting the oportunity for interesting character exploration); put those 2 plots together, add a cool and menacing villain (something the show and novels already had in abundance) and a good movie practically writes itself. Maybe some other Clayton wants to kill Tarzan because he's the next in line to inherit the family fortune or something. It took me 30 seconds to make up something more interesting that what we got. But no. They had to rush it and make a midquel. Because those are always great, right? Just ask The Fox and The Hound. BTW, as a Tarzan fan, have you seen the Warner Bros. live action movie from 2016?
I have now seen this movie twice. I didn't like it either time hahahaha. Like I've mentioned in a few videos now I think part of the rushed nature is the timed contract Disney has with the Edgar Rice Burroughs Estate. They didn't want to waste ANY time here even though I agree with you 100% with waiting. They could have also gone the Aladdin route and had the second film suck then make a proper third film which ties up the some stories in the series. Instead we get Tarzan and Jane which isn't a real movie. I've been diving into the lore and story of Tarzan when making these reviews and it's pretty crazy! Like he learned 14 languages, bonkers! And your pitch is a great idea. It ties to the first movie, to the show, the books and not would be fun as a fish out of water story. And sadly we wont see it, Disney has abandoned this IP it seems. Oh yeah Midquels are THE BEST I mean Bambi 2 would be best friends with the fox and the hound hahaha (Also it's made just for kids of a very young age hence the young Tarzan. Just want that $$$) I haven't actually. I saw the poster and just never saw it lol is it any good? I mean the lead actor is super ripped, like holy moley!!
@@Lytane I thought the Warner bros. film was indeed pretty good. Not a masterpiece, but a good movie for Tarzan fans. I have never shown that film to a single person who didn't like it or outright love it, the only exception being my own wife for some reason.
I personally think the TV show was fantastic! Good episodes and continuity, good action and humour. Now this movie, Tarzan 2? Welllll no where near as good. Now did you actually mean the show was trash or were you thinking of this movie?
I love how uses his toes & hands to grabs the Bamboos like that 0:34

i watched this when i was 6, and as a 6 year old i loved it.
Perfect! That means it works for the right demographic, I wish it worked with others as well lol
4:33 Pumbaa? Is that you?
I thought the same thing! But didn't make the joke out loud lol
i love Tarzan's gorilla mother name Kala she's taken care of tarzan i was proud of Kala for it and i loved Kala.
While not a great movie, this one needs a drastic (and much better) update to be included into the Mythos of a proposed remake.

wasnt Zugo in the tv series ?
I didn’t know Ron Perlman was this movie

2 movie I will not watch because it did not moved on form the 2 one they should of make the 2 part of the first one
Man why is it even called Tarzan 2 it's not a sequel at all.
Easier than calling it Tarzan 1.15 or something silly like that 🤣
