Wow! You’ve been very very busy! I am absolutely 100% in love with your dress!❤❤❤ (even though I’ve not been a fan of dresses in the past). I’ve been trying to force myself to find dresses that fit my body (mainly for the same reason you mentioned) this is definitely a great one, and I love the fabric you chose. I am probably the only person in the world that has not read a Harry Potter book yet…Can you believe that?! (I did see the first movie, though! 😉)
You are so making me want to make that dress, but having to hack it to maxi length is super off-putting! 🙈 Can't remember if you said, but any idea how much fabric the maxi length took? Curious if I've got something in stash that could work.... And your spooky themed book crafts are so stinking cute! 👻 📚
Thank you! The pattern says 4 2/3 yards but I used a 3.5 yard fabric that was 58-60” wide I still have a little over a yard of fabric left. I’m not sure why they recommended so much fabric, maybe to accommodate larger sizes.
Thank you! I bought the embroidery files on Etsy. There are so many embroidery files on there. Always pay close attention to the file size and hoop size before you buy them. Sometimes I get so excited and don’t realize that the files are too big.
Yes to a book cover tutorial please! Love your dress too!

Thank you! I hadn’t read it either! That’s why I’m insisting that my kids read it with me since we loved the movies so much.
I’m going to have to read the book too because I heard that the book was better.
