Thank you for sharing your process, loved the realistic narration. The pattern was a great fit for you. Loved the pattern on the sheet. Sheets are a great fabric resource!
I, unfortunately procrastinated on this challenge and didn’t get around to sewing my dress. You did a great job. I appreciate you for taking us along on this journey to experience and work through the challenges. In spite of the puffed sleeves, pleats to gathers, buttonholes and the shedding of blood, your dress came out fantastic. You look marvelous. Thanks for the kick in the keister, er...inspiration to get moving.
@@AusetsStitchedTreasures Thank you so much for watching ❤️ I wanted to give up so many times, but I am glad I persevered. There is always next time. You got this!
Hi Jessika, welcome to the world of sewing. I am also in Wisconsin. Gurl, thanks for sharing. I get so frustrated with gathers as well. I still want to do it. LOL Dress looks nice on you.
It turned out beautiful! I hope your finger is doing better. The gathers look so cute. And your shoes at the end are perfect with the dress. Loved the entire look 💙
My finger is healing up just fine 😂. Thank You! I can't believe I actually finished on time. Shoes are from Amazon. I pair them with just about everything 😅

I loved watching this video! I have a floral sheet that I have saved for years and now I’m so motivated to make something with it! You are so clever. I look forward to seeing more from you 😊
You do such beautiful professional work!! I am so sorry for your finger! I once sewed my finger to sewing plate, needle went straight thru...had to crank sewing wheel with free hand to lift needle out I felt your pain! Hope all is well now
New subbie here. You are a hoot😂. I truly enjoy the way you engage your audience. I love vintage dressing. You did a wonderful job on the making of this shirtdress. tfs
@@jessikaj.create Haha no worries...and yea it was definitely sobering (I'm gonna be side eyeing my own machine from now on). I understand though cuz buttonholes can be so incredibly frustrating. I'm glad to hear you felt beautiful 🥰
I am sewing for 40 years. Sewed through my finger once on an industrial machine. Pulled it back out and the thread was still in the needle. Went right back to sewing. it’s not a biggy, as long as your tetanus shot is up to date 😂 never happened since.
😂😂😂 Tetanus shot is up to date! You are seriously impressive. Thinking back to when it happened the first time in college, I was more concerned about blood being on my coat than any harm to myself. I'm glad someone can relate!
Thank you for this video showing all the real things that happen in the process of sewing garments. The dress is beautiful. You are so talented.
@@TinyTele Thank you!! 🥺🥰 This dress took me 18+ hours. Sewing as a hobby is a true commitment and I love to share.

Sheets are one of my absolute favorites. Most of the materials I use are second hand. Thank you for the complements and for watching! ❤️

Great video! Did you consider using the blue fabric for the sleeve cuff and collar? I love the dress!
So I did briefly consider it, but I thought the contrast would be too much with the print. Thank you!!
