      Yeah, it feels very chill and cheerful. You're right that even the 'busy' beach had a relaxed vibe, unlike some other much busier places. Those tacos were so good and so cheap that I actually just posted about them again over on Instagram. That entire meal for two was $5.50 CAD!

    The mole. It is not just a meal. It is a lifestyle. and you learn with time. It reminds me of gold. When this metal is known. the first time in a mine. It is not worth anything and it looks inpuro among the stones. But when we know the value. Our mind goes up to another level of value. also.
    The Mole is the same. the first time. he looks ugly. But when we know the dozens of healthy and exotic ingredients. We appreciate it. After eating it about 3 times. It is truly unforgettable and invaluable

      Hi Karen, Thanks for your lovely comment! Fun to be thinking about a trip to Sayulita. We made a video focused on different hotels in Sayulita which is here: ua-cam.com/video/5xrBmcw44SY/v-deo.html. From what you've said, I'd recommend Villa Amor as it is close to the beach, has a pool, great views, and is a short walk from the action of the centre of town. Be aware some rooms maybe have steps or a hill to get up (if mobility is a consideration) but I'm sure the hotel could assist you in planning a suitable room. There's also a place called El Pueblito in our video which has a pool and is on the other side of the town. In case you haven't seen the rest of our Saylita series, here's the link: bit.ly/sayulitamexicoplaylist. I hope they're helpful as you plan :)

      @@EileenAldis We actually are from Edmonton, and we visit the neighbouring village of San Pancho twice a year. It is similar to San Pancho but much smaller and quieter. From San Pancho you can hike to Sayulita through the jungle, the two places are only a few kms apart. They are both adorable places to visit!

      Hey Mark! We took the public bus from Sayulita to the PV airport and it takes just over an hour, depending on traffic. In a car it'd be faster for sure. I'm in Canada at the moment. So glad you're enjoying our videos :)

      The surfing is very good. There are some sand breaks with smaller waves. Bigger waves are reef breaks. There are also many spots within an hour's drive. La Lancha is fantastic!

    Hope you are aware of all the sewage in the ocean waters off Sayulita and how the sewage over flows into the streets. The infrastructure is not equipped for the many tourists and influx of expats. So many people get sick in Sayulita with many having long term issues. Do your research before going I wouldn't recommend visiting and rolling the dice. It's unfortunate but that city has basically been pillaged and commercialized at the expensive of the locals.

    • @EdDorsettSayulita
      @EdDorsettSayulita 5 років тому +2

      First off let me say it is not a regular occurrence when the sewer lines are over loaded and they back up into the street through the manhole, it only happens occasionally in a couple of spots in town. But, good news, there has been a lot happening with infrastructure updates over the last two years. Several sewer lines have been upgraded and repaired, one of which was the one creating the backup on Gaviotis street.. The treatment plant has undergone a complete overhaul, including doubling the capacity, and they are currently installing an emissor pipe that will eject the treated water out into the ocean over 2k. This will hopefully be finished and fully operational with in the next two weeks. They have also recently paved several streets in town, installed garbage cans and are power washing the streets as we speak. A lot of effort is being taken to accommodate the large increase in tourism here over the last 5 years.

      Was there recently and nothing happened to us. There were the rumors that a couple of wedding parties got really sick and started blaming the whole town, just like you do here. We ate and drank all over the place and did not get sick at all. So if you are thinking on visiting Sayulita, go ahead, do it with confidence and at the same time be aware that you are in a different country and there are bugs that your body do not recognize. I don't think you will get Washington's Revenge if you are careful with your food and drinks.
