where did you get the plastic sheets from?

you could use the lids of chinese takeaway containers, and similar cheap things that you would normally throw away.

Look for items that have a vacuum formed plastic case or cover on a cardboard backing. Keep your eye out for these things. Small stationery items usually come on a cardboard backing with a hard plastic cover stapled to the cardboard.
For bathroom windows, use a frosted plastic tub. One with a translucent quality. You can see the product inside but you cannot make out the details of it.
Recycling trash cans where they separate paper, card and plastic. Some large 2 gallon water bottles with square sides can provide pieces large enough.
Also, you can hide joins between vertical and horizontal sash bars (muntins), if a piece of plastic isn't large enough.
When constructing, consider watching contractors at work, installing a frame for a door or window. Simplify what they are doing but creating the frame for the hole in your wall and then add the decorative parts after the hinges and pivots can be hidden.
Okay sie haben leider nicht gezeigt, haben sie das Fenster mit Rahmen in die ausgesägte Fensteraussparung gesteckt. Ich hatte das völlig verkehrt gemacht und der Innenrahmen hatte nicht kleben wollen. Ich werde es jetzt noch einmal versuchen. Ich möchte ein Diorama bauen, das wie das Wohnzimmer meiner besten Freundin dargestellt sein soll. War echt am verzweifeln 😢
I am having a hard time creating gothic architecture windows for my miniature set. Even though this is a very basic/ straightforward window ( in the sense of no crazy ridiculous gothic architecture in it) your video was very helpful for me as a beginner. The video itself is really really nicely done as well! I can see everything really well and the vid is not too fast or too slow. Thank you from WI 😁

This took me back to when I worked in a school and the pupils were designing their own model spaces. Popsicle sticks as floor boards, working to scale, even that pupil who wanted a spiral staircase ... I had just watched a show where they made a spiral staircase so I was able to scale it down and use brass wire as a decorative gold handrail!

At 2:56 why does only one corner ( bottom left) have a different corner design to the other 3 corners in the window frame? There's probably a valid reason but I can't work out why :) Fantastic build though :)
