Ive reached out on other channels about a problem Ive encountered with growing dragon fruit for my first time ever. The plant I got is growing well and doing great but along the ridges or edges of the plant theres like a powdery white looking mildew or mold starting to appear. It has spread but only along the edges where the needles are. Have you ever seen or heard of this and if anyone could help me solve this problem I would be so grateful. We've really come to enjoy growing dragon fruit I just hope it doesnt kill the plant or spread too much before I find an answer

@@RAREDRAGONFRUIT awhile back I thought it had gotten too much water and the tips of the new growth was turning a pale yellowish color. Thats why I was thinking maybe its mold or mildew but I havent seen any refrences to that. I live in the southeastern united states and the humidity is pretty high here. If it is in fact some sort of mold or mildew what can I do about it? The peroxide/water mixture didn't work on it

Did he say they grew Robles Red from seed? That would explain why there could be several different varieties.

They have sister seedlings but only Robles has been released. Julio grew seedlings from American Beauty crossed with Orejona pollen. I was lucky enough to get a cutting from the original mother plant. It was awesome to meet the mother, 😆

So Orejona pollen doesn't work on itself but works on other varieties like in this case American Beauty? So can i use delight pollen on a dark star flower. would it work?

Yes! I used Darkstar pollen to pollinate Physical Graffiti last night.

By that I meant ungrafted. I prefer plants that have been grown from seed.

Worst part about the fake Robles Red is that sellers know it’s not Robles Res and they still sell it as such.
