This is a traditional Emirati meal that is usually reserved for special occasions or very exclusive guests. It's not a normal Dubai Street Food, but that's why it's so good. It is an extremely rare Arab food nowadays! You have to be incredibly lucky to experience this whole camel platter! This is definitely one of the must try foods in Dubai! It is a traditional Emirati food and is one of the best things to do in Dubai. Camel meat is something that may be sensitive to some viewers, so make sure you're comfortable with watching the camel cooking! The chefs who prepared the camel recipe were originally from the South of India in Kerala, but have been living in Dubai for over 20 years.
If you're thinking of traveling to Dubai for a food trip, you can't go wrong, there is so much delicious Emirati cuisine and amazing street food to try! I must admit, most of the food is in Dubai restaurants that are clean and quiet, but that is part of the charm of Dubai.
First, Peyman and I checked out the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and then made our way to the one and only Camel Restaurant, address below:
Entire Camel Platter in Dubai: Zaman Awal Restaurant
Address: Al Boom Village, Dubai, UAE, United Arab Emirates
If you're wondering if you should eat street food in Dubai or go for regular restaurants in Dubai, I recommend mixing it up and going for both. In this food video, we are solely visiting one of the best restaurants in dubai for the whole camel plate.

HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

That amount of saffron made me see a gold bar in the chef's hand.
it was a ton of saffron!!!
There was probably 70/80 dollars worth of saffron in his hand that was sprinkled...not to mention the amount that was already in the marinade....I almost had a heart attack! A meal fit for kings and emperors.
Common Sense Supreme Exactly that was my perception, saffron are golden strands given the very delicacy in the extraction and in their quantities. Thanks for the comment.
in Dubai they pull out real gold bar, make you forget about saffron lol
tons of saffron needed 2 alleviate funkiness of them camel meat !!!
I love this delicious great recipy that you cook for us from the meat of camal 👌 good shareing and we'll presentation 👍
Had something very familiar to this in Saudi Arabia in 1991. The plate held the entire camel plus chicken and sheep. It was so good
In fact, the countries of the Arabian Peninsula have a common culture and are very similar to the point that you will not be able to differentiate between them easily, because in fact they are one people who carry the same blood in their veins and have common genealogies and common tribes, only the borders of the countries that separate them
Anthony Bourdain ate camel in Saudi Arabia with Danya. It looked yummy! He ate camel, lizard, etc. cooked slowly until tender.
The tastiest dish ever....but the use of PURE GHEE makes every dish incredible.

Yea, not like "andrew zimmern".
Agreed. Usually when you think about arabs, you basically imagine some super wealthy dude with cash aplenty and a matching attitude for his wealth. I think that's a huge misconception among people developed largely due to media portrayal.
Peyman was so cool and friendly in this video with the attitude of a very accomodating host and looked like someone you can hang out with even if you didn't know him. Especially liked the way he explained the various customs and traditions of arab culture, kudos to him.

It seems a lot are confused, but camel meat was eaten for probably thousands of years in the Arabian Peninsula it’s just considered a pretty dang big deal. And you’d never eat a racing camel or one that you bonded with as a travelling companion unless in extreme cases. A bedouin’s love to his camel is very real and I am pretty sure many take issues with eating camels on sentimental grounds. What you seeing here is considered the highest form of hospitality that only the super wealthy could afford back in the day (and even today) and it would make news in town that so and so had a camel for the feast, say for like a big wedding feeding hundreds of guests as opposed to the two you see here ^^” Something that happens once in a bluemoon!
Somebody did some research..lol

At some place in the Muslim world UAE, people are eating a whole camel and some people are dying for Hunger in Yemen
If you watched the whole video, you would see that they gave the rest for charities and homeless people. So no food was wasted there. It's sad what's happening in Yemen, but that doesn't mean people all around the world should stop enjoying and eating food just because some people are suffering elsewhere
HAHAHAHAH! Press F
They gave the rest of the food to charity dummy. It sucks that people suffer in different places around the world but wth do you want people who aren't in power to do about it????
