I own the DVD and what great memories and interviews on it. 30 Years of Great music, pro wrestling shows, and of course the late great New Haven Nighthawks. Let's go Hawks!

My aunt who lived for a long time near New Haven told me when I asked her about the Coliseum that she used to pass by the place almost every day while going to or coming from where she worked. And in a city I’m building in Minecraft, I decided to erect an arena whose design I took inspiration from the New Haven Coliseum as well as the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The New Haven Coliseum was a part of my life in 1979 and 1980. The Hartford Civic Center collapse in 1978 allowed for some of the biggest touring acts to play in New Haven instead, and in addition there was some great hockey. The place could and did get a little crazy at times, and the design with the parking deck on top lead to people throwing bottles and m-80s off the deck and into crowds below. It is sad that it only lasted 30 years, but nothing lasts forever.
