Wow this does help a lot since I've been drawing probably around 10 years. I've drawn by using references and sometimes I don't use guidelines, I do see a few mistakes but half of the time it still looks good. Lately I haven't been drawing much and I felt like I lost motivation to draw so looking back to learning a few things has helped me a lot now since I sometimes struggled with drawing heads
Saved this to watch in its entirety and will be going over it as soon as I can find the time. I left a like and am leaving this comment so it helps you out with the algo (if that's at all helpful) I wanted to say thank you for going into detail and thissi the kind of stuff aspiring artists like myself wanna see, so please keep it up. I look forward to more tutorials like this (in due time ofc, I know these are hard work)
Nice video. I wanted to point out about your comment at 5:30 about the anime jawline being less realistic. The anime and some other styles highlights and exaggerate juvenile features and that’s where the receded mandible comes in. Also the larger cranium is noticeable in anime. As a dimorphic species females retain more juvenile features such as larger eye sockets per skull size so it’s particularly used when drawing females
