As someone new, i really needed this. Too many guides are focused on exact proportions and that had me struggling a lot as I would waste too much time trying to be exact in my replications. As it turns out, being close enough is indeed good enough as everything can be adjusted after the sketch.
this is so far my favorite tutorial from you!! :D I’ve always struggled with face anatomy, and usually i try to work with a reference but sometimes its hard to find one with the exact angles/perspective that i want. so ive been trying to understand the anatomy and this is so so helpful, your way of explaining things in-depth is so easy to follow and and i think it’s a fun way to study too!! and thank you so much for sharing the head angles file it’s gonna be such a lifesaver 😭 i honestly can’t thank you enough for what you’re doing for the art community and myself personally,, i am confident to say ive improved so much recently and you’re one of my biggest inspirations in my art journey :”)) as always take care of yourself and i look forward for new posts!! :D
Oh gosh, thanks for your lovely and kind comment! Actually I was worried that it explains not enough, because I don't like the idea of : 'the nose has to be a third of the head, placed between...', I think that makes it stiff and less natural and overly complicated. So I am really happy to hear your words! ohh man, the more i read the more flustered I get, thank you very very much :)
Definitely a video I needed! I'm so inconsistent with different head angles. I was trying to draw a side profile recently and just couldn't do it (which disappointed me because I had drawn a decent side profile just the week before). I've always wanted to upgrade my illustrations since I think different face angles can be a lot more interesting than the same old frontal view all the time. Thank you so much for your tutorial! ☺Your art is extremely inspiring!!
I know that I kinda default into the same angles all the time because I simply can't master other angles (3/4 is end boss) but trying new things helps to improve even if the first attempts doesn't look that well, so I am happy to hear!
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been looking for a head tutorial that I could understand for months now, and this really helped out!! I could never understand how other artists did it so this video means a lot to me
Thank you so much Kuro!! I love your art so much and this video was so helpfull. You really explain stuff in such as simple way, and Ive really been struggling to draw faces in other perspectives other than the usual 3/4 perspective and this video really motivated me! tysm for these awesome videos and I hope your channel gets a million subscribers 💕!!
Wow, thanks for letting me know, I am glad it could help^^ 3/4 is actually the hardest for me, so many piece won't be finished because I messed up the head ^^'
aaaa I've been considering practicing drawing heads lately but I felt like the other tutorials couldn't work for me. And then your video popped up! Thank you so much Kuro! this definitely made it easier to understand how to draw heads and will absolutely try it out!
Great tutorial! I've started to study skull recently and it really pays off. Most tutorials teach "magic lines" that you have to remember by heart and they don't really teach you how to alter the proportions. But after you get more accustomed to seeing the underlying face structure, every head drawing registers as "skull" + "altered proportions" + "different levels of simplification".
thank you kuro!! I've been struggling with heads recently and how to figure out a simple way to re-learn how to draw them. I cant wait to try out this method and see what and where it'll take my art ^v^
Omg thank u!! I recently started watching your videos and my god they have helped me understand so much more than any other videos out there,, thank you for your hard work!!!
Thank you for making this video when it comes to angles I struggle so much from doing different angles I get tired of doing the same angle of looking straight at me so this is very amazing ❤
Thank you so so much for this! Trying to get back to drawing after a year and this really helped break it down an got me motivated again. It always feels like i have to start from square one again, if I go in without having a plan, but seeing your videos really got me up. Much love and keep being awesome!!
Thank you thank you, I had the same problem with not being to understand tutorials and I struggled so much I just drew front view only but you made simple for me to understand so Tysm
Thank you so much! This video is exactly what I need. I just started learning to draw heads and was overwhelmed by a whole bunch of tutorials. They tell me which part to place at what ratio, what perspective of the face blablabla, etc. And there are the influences of painting styles and so on, which confuse me about where to start. Now I know how I can practice on my own art! Your art and videos are stunning. You deserve more subscriptions! Hope you will post more videos.♥♥♥
Your anatomy knowledge and skill are insane! I'm struggling a lot with anatomy esp how to approach and learn and practice esp for neck down.... Please consider making videos on how to study anatomy, how to learn and practice and master it, and how to layer on clothing on it. Thank you Kuroshiro! You're amazing!!
I find your videos really useful, starting from the process videos to the tutorials-everything! Plus, I’m a big fan of your art style. Especially the colouring looks so neat yet very loose, a good mix that looks dashing ^^ keep making videos like this, we surely enjoy them 😊
Ah, this video is a really helpful! My heads always end up looking too childish in a way and I constantly stuggle. Your heads look majestic and elgant. I inspire to draw like you one day! ✨️ sorry if this is awkwardly phrased
@@kurohshiro No problem 😺👍. And once i meow to my summer vacation in this year's September, i'm gonna meow practicing for drawing some new characters and backgrounds 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️ 😺👍.
Thank you for this helpful tutorial! It really makes drawing faces easier, It would be awesome if you make tutorials for eyes and hair too. again thank you so much
This tutorial is so so helpful thank you so much for sharing it ❤and can you do a tutorial on hair also cause I struggle a lot while drawing anime hairstyles
I always drew the head in set angles cuz of how hard it is to visualise it in different angles… never thought you could use the skull to plan everything out first(imo the skull is way too complex, I didn’t wanna use more complex stuff to plan out what isn’t as complex). The mask method makes drawing facial features in odd angles (look) so much easier, I should try it out some time (´▽`) I really like your methods of simplify drawing! It helps a lot, like when in doubt, pull out a Kuroshiro video and everything is solved
Actually the skull isn't that complex when you just focus on the parts you need for your head, aka the parts which will be influencial on the outer head shape^^ Have fun trying! I hope this helps! naww thank you :33
Ohh!! Ohh!! it's me again!! My idol has a new video!! you are so hard working , I am also lucky to have seen the proposal early !! the works and knowledge you shared are very helpful ;3 ... huhu, recently the new version of clipstudiopaint makes it difficult for me to use ... can you make a video to help me setting it like easy:3?
ohh well, I am still using my old trusty version and never dive deeper into complex things and all the opportunity this software offers (like 3d models, custom brushes which are overly complicated etc) So my settings are pretty much standard tbh, but maybe i can think of a guide on that as well :)
Ahh anatomy is one of the things I have to practice, but maybe it's helpful when someone who didn't master it yet (and probably won't) tries to explain it, i think the closer the level of skill the easier it is to follow, so i will think about this^^
Honestly thats just a feeling I have, like 'this looks off i should move it' and then I try as long as it doesnt look off anymore. Sorry that this is a very vague answer.
The universe gave me a sign when I need to learn how to draw heads.
Yo I thought I commented that you have the same pfp the same placement that I had, until I remembered I changed my pfp and this is not me
