❤Laura, kind of made my heart feel good to see your garden gets overgrown and things need to go or be moved. I’m doing lots of that now and at 79 it’s not as easy but still loving it just move slower. I’ve watched you since you started and you are my favourite gal and garden channel. Praying God continues to bless you and your family.

One of the very first GA videos I watched was of you working around the chicken coop and the pallet walkway. It was so gorgeous and I was hooked for life. Feels like yesterday but it was when Benjamin was still tiny and Samantha wasn't even a twinkle in Aaron's eye yet ✨😉 Have spent so much time since then following the progress in your garden and watching your family grow. ❤

I really like it when you rejuvenate areas of the garden. That is the real side of the gardening process; it's not just about plunking in thousands of dollars worth of plants, and it takes a critical eye and skill. I think you could have demonstrated dividing the brunneras and basket of gold to show us how to get more plants from what you already have.

You kindly, and realistically, complimented Garden Answer's assets.
Aaron, in a video yesterday, was fortunately blessed enough to ask his companion-for-life, "Do you think we'll still be doing THIS in 20 years?"
How sweetto know, that no matter WHAT you end up doing, you, securely, know exactly with whom you' ll be doing it.

    • @mariankay6482

@@CrispeeCrisps15why did you call her a name? What good did that do you or her? She made a decent comment. Nothing ugly. I don't get it?

    • @Amber0220
      @Amber0220 10 місяців тому +14

@@mariankay6482 I agree with the original comment also. She wasn't being rude. I love Garden Answer but the majority of us are everyday gardeners and dont have thousands of dollars to do a supertunia swoop of 300 plants. It would have been informative to divide the plants to show everyone how to get more plants.

Really happy to see the work around the chicken coop. The chickens are probably going to enjoy the better air circulation as much as the plants. Happy the hibiscus will be coming out as it does make it look unkempt there. The Zephirin will look fabulous when it blossoms. There's no more appropriate place for the incredible pallet walkway than around a chicken coop. Stone walkways are very nice but may have saturated the area. Love the Basket of Gold in its new spot. It adds so much there. The bidens sure is looking tired and really doesn't make much sense anymore, so agree that it's time for it to go.
Again, the wood in the pallet walkway goes so well with the nearby bench. Really hope you keep it there.

I tried using burlap this year instead of cocoa fiber liners . I folded it so any pictures/labels didn't show and used black zip ties to secure around the pot. They have held up great and should last for several years. The burlap was FREE from a garden center that carries a lot of concrete fountains, pots, etc.

Your pallet pathway would look great back by the pond! Definitely fits that aesthetic!

Good morning Laura! Great job around the chicken coop. Looking forward to episode two of this area. Really love to see what you do with existing areas and where you move the plants you take out. Hugs from N.C..❤

I love to see the chicken coop garden, One of my favourite areas of your garden Laura. The brunnera looked terrific where you moved it. How about having the last remaining brunnera on the other side of the veggie garden gate, I think that would give a nice sense of balance and button up that area.

Hi Laura I never used ornamental cabbage or kale in my garden and seeing how you use it I now have it in pots and as boarders in my garden.

Just love watching your videos! I live on the TX gulf coast - it is so cool to see you use the some of the same plants that we do.

Took out almost all of my Stella ‘d Oro lilies too, but because of deer. They were eating the flowers, which was bad enough, and now they are eating the foliage! Had them for years and they fit perfectly, came back every year, got bigger too, but oh my, how discouraging to see all the damage. Tired of spraying, and buying deer repellent. Putting in different forms of allium and caryopteris for now. Also, dwarf pugster blue butterfly bush is working too. And, they don’t seem to eat dahlias, at least for now!

Plus, Stella D'oro are the quintessential "parking lot plant." Good for you.

    Your rose tree is beautiful.
Laura I love that you don't just throw all plants away ,and save and repot the ones that can be saved and even overwinter them in your green houses to reuse next season.

Hi Laura and Aaron! That area looks so much better. Like others have suggested, I think the pallet walkway would look good somewhere around the pond. Thank you so much for sharing!
