Yasssss Canute has such an amazing character arc. I love that this episode switched between the Thorfinn/Thorkell fight and Canute's transformation. To me, it felt like it was trying to show how Thorfinn is still chained to his past by fighting pointless fights, while Canute is moving forward to become a "true warrior"
@@thamor4746 haha i'm a manga reader so i DEFINITELY will love season 2. i didn't remember that it cut back-and-forth like this in the manga too -- i thought it was a choice by the anime director, but going back i see it was the same in the manga. it seems more jarring in the anime though, which i like ^^

Bjorn growling in the back of Canute's scenes is one of my favorite things about this episode. I always hate how some forms of christianity show being alive as hell and that the only thing equal and free is death. But I loved the fact that from that knowledge Canute grows and stops trying to change the past, understanding than the only thruth is the present and the future that one builds. You should use the audio of Joseph screaming HOME RUNN HOME RUNN, you use that meme often (underrated meme by the way haha) 11:20 "Your Highness, I've seen a miracle" "Enough with your BS, get to work"
Canute finding out what love is and Thorfinn finding out what it means to be a true warrior giving them both new character development . This episode was so good.
This was the first of 3 moments that define the series. I never expected this to turn into a series about Christian philosophy, but it really is, and rarely do you see something show it instead of talk about it.

DarnellOB98 yes a reality check but I still feel he changed too rapidly even the characters in the show say it's a miracle or he changed in a short time it's acknowledged it's unbelievable
