Such a cool company. I am always amazed at their precision. No wonder they are known the world over. Thank you for posting these videos. A big thumbs up to all of you at CDI. Be safe and Happy New Year.
Great compilation of your work. Boy did I hate to see the Martin Tower come down in Bethlehem, PA. That was a really cool building, made with plenty of steel, but its time had passed.
I had to re-watch at 1/2 speed, it is my recommendation if you have 10 min to kill. You have to watch both ways because I have never see such a production in a demo vid! The limited audio, music, constant action, very entertaining and cool. Thanks.
Dayyumm. I hadn't heard that the Tappan Zee bridge had been taken down. I used to drive across that about 33 years ago. I wonder what kind of strange circumstances led to them blowing down construction cranes.
You can see the evolution of attempts of dust cloud control over the years with the current method using snow maker blowers. Have you considered using water screens? If you've ever seen Fantasmic or World of Color at a Disney park you can see the volume of water needed. It would require tanker trucks of water and/or temp holding tanks but it may do the trick in addition to providing sonic dampening of the charge shock waves.
The cranes were demolished after the Hard Rock Hotel that was under construction collapsed in 2019 killing three workers and damaging the cranes making them unstable.
I appreciate the technology and brain power that goes into these successful demolitions with such accuracy once the countdown is complete.
I've been a fan since the Kingdome implosion. Congratulations on another year of the art, science, and demolition.
I love watching these videos. A combination of art, explosives and physics.
Your company is awesome at what you do! I've explored some of these magnificent locations you've blown up!
