He did so well! Curious, what did you do if he went for something on the floor that you didn’t want him to have? Possible examples like trash, plastic, candy (these are some of the things I have come across in pet stores) Did you redirect him? If so with his name or anything else? Thanks!
That's a great question! In circumstances like these with a puppy as young as he was at the time, I try to focus on managing the situation more than the pup themselves. So, for example, if I see trash in an aisle, I just skip that aisle and go down the next or turn around and go the other way. If I can get a puppy's attention beforehand, then I might lead them past it with a treat on their nose too. But, I didn't really give commands at this stage because he didn't know what the words meant at the time. Hope that answers that question!
