I lived in Wallace's st No 1, Francis St, Movilla Road and Edith Helen Road then left in 1975. Mum worked in the Nylon. Such memories.

Team Alvis stored their cars at my house for one of the Ards TT. Amazing to see the old railway bridge up Belfast road..

Beautiful town from an English lad who "walked" to carrowdore in honour of my grandad in 1991 ...I think, lol, ? On the year.... alongside my cousins David and Stewart

William Gebbie /Gibb left Newtonards heading for Stranraer during the famine years . The Scottish contingent evolved from there . William you have lots to answer for . The GIBBs are everywhere in Ayrshire . I might visit one day :-)
