Could you provide a link to the exact tube you chose? We are going to Disney next week and I would love to bring one of these for the ride back home with our new lightsaber! ✨
I realize this is a little late for you, but for the record here's a link to the case we used. Hope you had a magical trip! www.amazon.com/dp/B01DLYJ2G4/?tag=disneydiva01-20
Hi thanks for making the video it was really helpful 🙂 Can you provide me with the link to where you bought the tube please so that I may order one myself?
The lightsaber blades are 34", but when attached to the hilt the exposed blade is 31". The tube we used was 40". Here's a link: www.amazon.com/dp/B01DLYJ2G4/?tag=disneydiva01-20
If you're only putting in blades, I'd say maybe 5 or 6 would fit in this tube. Although the blades are durable, you may want to add some padding or other protection during transport if the blades are just loose and able to move around.
Theoretically yes, but I’d recommend you check with your airline. Your ability to carry.on the bag Disney provides may also depend on the particular gate agent. At SNA coming back from Disneyland, the agent said the Disney bag had to be checked. Thankfully it arrived undamaged. But that was Opening Weekend of Galaxy’s Edge (May 2019) before airlines had seen lightsabers from Savi’s. By now, airlines may be more familiar with Galaxy’s Edge souvenirs (remember the uproar over thermal detonators?) and it will be easier to transport as a carry-on. We had no problem in September 2019 at MCO.
We've always put the hilt in the checked luggage. It is metal and weighs a few pounds, so we don't want to take a chance on TSA confiscating it as a weapon.
So if I was traveling back from Galaxy's Edge...I could take the hilt off, and store just the blade in the bag they provide in the overhead bin?
Yup! That's just what we did!
This is actually really really useful 😁😁 thanks!! I'm def gonna be looking at this as another option
Thank you very much! My parents will be happy to hear this!
Never thought I’d have to look this up

Great video, thanks !!
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
Hi, did you separate the hilt from the blade? I plan to separate the hilt from the blade and put the blade inside the document tube.
Yes! That's exactly right. Separate the hilt from the blade, put the hilt in a checked bag, and the blade can go in the tube as a carry on.
What was the size ? And do you have a link ?

Love it!! Thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
If you didn't put the Savi's sheath in the tube, how many blades can you fit in it?

i have a question could you go on the plane with just the bag that Disney provides
Theoretically yes, but I’d recommend you check with your airline. Your ability to carry.on the bag Disney provides may also depend on the particular gate agent. Did you put the hilt in your carry on or in the luggage ?

Can this work for international travel?
What is the size of the tube?
40" when fully extended
Was your son's bag checked in?
Yes. He packed the hilt in a checked bag, and the blade in the tube as a carry on.
