It change in a way that make your hand movement to hit the coin exactly the same every single time, as long as you keep moving in the same direction and maintain your speed. Its really not hard to learn, and once you get the basic of it, hitting the coin is more muscle memory than actual aiming.

Claire de lune is just such a good song. In high-school we played it in band before covid. It made me cry in danganropa. It even Reminds me of my late father so it's a work of art and makes me want this game more
A friend of mine was playing this on a stream and got the nail gun, this being when it was fairly new. They had the same issue with it, the ammo being a problem but the magnet shot was neat. But I came up with an idea: What if you put two stakes down, then allow a lot of nails between them? The result being a lot of bullets going into one enemy or a group of them. One issue, after a minute or so, one stake would go away. This gave me two more questions: "Can you put another down to keep the gathering going?" And "Can we hit an enemy with the stake?" The answers: Yes and Y E S. And so I came up with The Nailstorm. Basically, you put two stakes down, unleash hell into the magnetic contest, keep refreshing one stake (the farthest from the one from one the storm is going into), then when the game super lags, you stake the enemy you want to shred and love the storm as it melts the enemy. Including V2. Oh yeah. I don't know if it's still a thing right now, but I still like it.
As someone who has P ranked every level in the game on the highest difficulty this video is actively painful to watch but I cant look away. Like a slow motion car crash that never ends
It’s funny that a literal angel gets defeated by funny blue robot that flies around like a mosquito on adrenaline and tosses coins like it’s a party trick.
I think what helps the game's pacing feel so good is what's going on under the hood; or rather, what's not. Damage values are Paper Mario style. As in, the strongest bosses in the game only have slightly more health than you. Working with such comparatively small numbers means that you really FEEL the difference between your basic firing modes and the more devastating alt-fires.
The soap just before hideous mass is a reference to Dusk, another new blood boomer shooter which hid a bar of soap in every level that insta killed everything
I feel like as soon as I get ultrakill a bunch of people I watch do a video on it. And I’m all here for it, now time to try and prepare for the next part of act 2
this video EASILY earned my sub. wonderful editing and I love your sense of humor. Ultrakill is one of my favorite games, and I can't wait for Wrath to come out.
Ultrakill’s story is severely underrated, especially Gabriel Even just what’s shown outside of the big paragraph machine that nobody uses. Gabriel is an angel who never knew freedom, he was pathetic, a slave to faith he never even truly believed in. Slowly, he realized the fire of his faith was a lie, and became his own soldier, rather than a soldier for his so called “god”. He was done with belonging to someone else, and decides he doesn’t even care if he dies. As long as he finally makes a decision. In Act III, Godfist Suicide.
Something wild is that I bought the game exactly on the day this video came out, and I have been playing for 11 days at the time of writing this. I have improved massively since my beginning, at first I could barely scrape through the twin Cerberus fight. But now I am on my way to perfecting violent mode, recently perfected the secret boss on normal.
I find it quite interesting to see just how different playstyles can get in this game and how deep the mechanics are. I figured out that the coin has a consistent trajectory so as long as you move in one direction, all you have to do is time your shot to pull it off. But I never learned about slam jumps and just used my shotgun's overload to blow myself up to reach that first button in Limbo. So Bumbles is shotgunning down foes and carefully dodging out of the way of attacks. Meanwhile, I'm sliding around and shooting my coins to auto-target my opponents. And I don't doubt other playstyles are viable and intuitive to different players.
oh wow i just stumbled upon this channel and started watching it, very cool to see ultrakill covered here understandable that you don't have time to p-rank every level, but thankfully the game is mostly lenient on p-ranks and you should be able to get p-ranks on most levels easily, i speedrun the level and it is very fun, it's funny how hard it is at first but once you realize the weaknesses and attacks of enemies it is easy, anyway if you do make a video on that that would be cool, nonetheless cool video
With act two out I'm incredibly excited to see your video on it, I love the editing style and your sense of humor so round two (and three whenever that happens) are going to be just as fun
When this video came out I made sure to write this game down. Just bought the game yesterday because of this video and it's already probably my favorite FPS. Thank you.
Ultrakill is one of those games I wish came out ten years ago. As amazing as this game looks, I'm getting older and my reflexes are slowing. Just watching the gameplay tells me that it would be more frustrating than fun for me. Though this video puts things in perspective and tempts me to give the game another shot.
31:23 yeah i could pay my water bill but on the other side...you can parry the punch... i think i can get a month without water to get ultrakill 10/10 i am sold
Fun fact of the day, fact fans. That soap before the Hideous Mass boss fight is a reference to Dusk, another game published by New Blood (who published this piece of art we see here) which is a quake-like retro horror shooter that's also peak fiction. How is it a reference? Buy the game and find out for yourself, it's good.
26:58 gets me every time Jack is essentially slobbering for what he thinks will be a nice layer full of sexyness then... "This is Chicago... they put Chicago in ultrakill"
24:14 There was a LOT of stuff in this video I had no idea about, but for some reason, the Clair de Lune 3 blue skull thing is the one thing I'm most disappointed to learn about. I genuinely looked through the whole-ass church to find the 3 skulls, which took me 20 God Damn minutes, even though I could've just JUMPED INTO IT.
The sandbox is something that I haven’t seen talked about very much elsewhere, but I think that it really shows a core design philosophy. ULTRAKILL is a hard game, but it’s a game that wants you to get good at it.

This gave me two more questions: "Can you put another down to keep the gathering going?" And "Can we hit an enemy with the stake?"
The answers: Yes and Y E S.
Oh yeah.
I don't know if it's still a thing right now, but I still like it.
uh yeah thats not an original idea it's been used in speedruns and stuff
As someone who has P ranked every level in the game on the highest difficulty this video is actively painful to watch but I cant look away. Like a slow motion car crash that never ends
Thank you, Ultrakill is my favorite game of all time. Now be hyped for the rocket launcher.
3:45
oh you sweet summer child, it can make all the difference in the world in terms of fun
how fun it is to do a Pinos also depends on this
It's been two years, Bumbles. When are we getting part two?
Bosses that later become enemies usually have about half health after they become a standard enemy, that's why they feel so much easier.
fun fact: you can use the marksman coin with piercer's alt fire if you switch quickly enough and its AWESOME
fun fact: the marksman's coin parries hitscan, not just your own weapons. You can coin parry maliciousface.
Honestly the consistency of hitting coins doesn’t really come from aiming, but rather muscle memory
mudskipper deepwoken
i liked the part where gabriel said "IM GOING TO ULTRAKILL YOU" and then i spent 30 minutes on that boss fight
Man, a shattered illusion is an absolute bop i love the music in this game
34:05 is the best clip EVER!
one of my fave youtubers talking about a game i love? sign me up!
Can we mention real quick how gianni has the most spot on Spike Spiegel impression I’ve ever heard
Let me get this straight. You can punch a punch back turning the puncher into the punchee and the punchee into the puncher! I will now buy this game
A game where you punch the bullets out of your gun faster than you shoot, sweet
this video EASILY earned my sub. wonderful editing and I love your sense of humor. Ultrakill is one of my favorite games, and I can't wait for Wrath to come out.
18:19 I rewound that far too many times. And I will continue to do so.
“neat. so back to the leve- WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP THAT”
Ultrakill’s story is severely underrated, especially Gabriel
Even just what’s shown outside of the big paragraph machine that nobody uses.
So, in other words...
*I'm my own master now.*
I still wonder why Mirage (the secret V1 in the lust secret level) was added. Some people shouldn't have been given that.
To make official body pillows of course
Thanks!
Can’t wait for Jack to cover act two
don't worry you're not a baby for playing on the lowest difficulty, any violence is good violence with ULTRALILL.
Have bought, can confirm, is amazing, can't wait for more levels to come out.
I suddenly want a "Bumbles McFumbles Plays Alien Isolation"
"counterargument: + DOWN TO SIZE"
im still waiting for that act 2 video jack where is it :]]]]]
did a full game playthrough and finished yesterday, seeing this video is hilariously good timing
Fact: V2 was built for defense, and you, V1 was built for offense. Meaning YOU, are better than HIM.
oh wow i just stumbled upon this channel and started watching it, very cool to see ultrakill covered here
understandable that you don't have time to p-rank every level, but thankfully the game is mostly lenient on p-ranks and you should be able to get p-ranks on most levels easily, i speedrun the level and it is very fun, it's funny how hard it is at first but once you realize the weaknesses and attacks of enemies it is easy, anyway if you do make a video on that that would be cool, nonetheless cool video
11:57 as a baseball fan I appreciated the Randy Johnson clip
With act two out I'm incredibly excited to see your video on it, I love the editing style and your sense of humor so round two (and three whenever that happens) are going to be just as fun
My heart dropped when i realized you can p rank the secret bosses... dog I cant even beat flesh prison
thank GOD this game is getting more popular
14:42 aww, it was three steps ahead of your two steps, how adorable
I love how sandbox mode has you in gm_construct
Wait till this guy hears about P2
When this video came out I made sure to write this game down. Just bought the game yesterday because of this video and it's already probably my favorite FPS. Thank you.
Ultrakill already feels so good and *we are missing the majority of the game*
I’m pretty sure every time there’s a difficulty select screen bumbles mind gets war flashbacks to chicken little
Dude! You do know about act 2 release right!? You should do another! Really!
The worst part of ultrakill is that Mirage is just that. I would love for Mirage to appear in the backround cheering V1 on.
Always a pleasure to see this game get the recongintion it deserves
dw bumbles, the stinky half reveal of act 2 shall be fully shown like august 16th i think
I genuinely wish you the best of luck. The game’s truly phenomenal and it’s absolutely worth a shot.
honestly bumbles seems like the type of guy who would be addicted to the knuckle blaster, it's very brutal and it pairs well with the alternate pistol
31:23
yeah i could pay my water bill but on the other side...you can parry the punch...
i think i can get a month without water to get ultrakill
10/10 i am sold
That first segment actually got me to buy Ultrakill.
Coming back after beating Act 2, I thank you.
26:58 gets me every time
Jack is essentially slobbering for what he thinks will be a nice layer full of sexyness then...
"This is Chicago... they put Chicago in ultrakill"
i mean he got his anime girl problme being that he hates her
24:14
There was a LOT of stuff in this video I had no idea about, but for some reason, the Clair de Lune 3 blue skull thing is the one thing I'm most disappointed to learn about.
I genuinely looked through the whole-ass church to find the 3 skulls, which took me 20 God Damn minutes, even though I could've just JUMPED INTO IT.
double the speed of gabriel. that's the speed he was on for my first playthrough. lenient really is easy mode.
What difficulty did you play on (also nice terraria pfp)
I’m coming back a rewatching this video today.
I’ve finished every level except the most recent two and…
I did not know you could chain slam jumps
The sandbox is something that I haven’t seen talked about very much elsewhere, but I think that it really shows a core design philosophy. ULTRAKILL is a hard game, but it’s a game that wants you to get good at it.
Colonel, The Ultra was Shilled! Repeat; The Ultra was Shilled!
